The Coming Soon page template in WooCommerce is fully customizable through the Site Editor, allowing you to modify its design to align with your brand. You can adjust colors, fonts, and layout, ensuring that your coming soon page reflects your store’s identity while maintaining an engaging appearance.

New Coming Soon Designs in WooCommerce 9.8+

WooCommerce 9.8 introduces new Coming Soon designs. Merchants can now choose from beautifully designed designs:

  1. Default Coming Soon – A full-screen purple design with logo and message.
  2. Image Gallery – A versatile gallery-style design that allows you to showcase a preview of your products with multiple images. Ideal for merchants who want to give visitors a sneak peek of what’s coming when the store launches. The gallery layout lets you highlight various products or features simultaneously, building anticipation for your full catalog.
  3. Coming Soon With Header and Footer – Maintains your site’s header and footer while showing the coming soon content.
  4. Minimal Left Image – A clean, two-column coming soon page with a large, rounded image on the left and a concise launch message on the right. The spacious layout emphasizes simplicity and elegance, perfect for brands seeking a refined, modern pre-launch presence.
  5. Modern Black – A bold coming soon page with a full-width background image and a centered message overlay for strong visual impact. Minimal yet powerful, it’s ideal for brands wanting a dramatic first impression.
  6. Split Right Image – A dynamic two-column layout balancing content and visuals. A compact announcement with a small image sits on the left, while a bold, full-height background image with overlaid text dominates the right. Perfect for brands blending storytelling with strong imagery.

Customising Coming soon template

This section covers customizing the “Coming Soon” template in the Site Editor. To do this, you must have a block theme active on your site and follow the steps below:

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Site visibility.
  2. Click on Editor link under the Coming soon radio button.

Note:

When the Apply to store pages only toggle is enabled, the Coming Soon page will use a different design that includes the theme’s header and footer.

Selecting a pre-designed pattern

Note:

These designs are available in WooCommerce 9.8 and above.

  1. In the Site Editor, click the Template tab in the right sidebar.
  2. Click on Design
  3. You’ll now see all available designs with preview thumbnails. Click on any design to select it.
  4. Make any additional customizations as needed and click Save when you’re done.

Design: Default coming soon

The Default Coming Soon design uses a custom block with the ability to set its background color. To change this color, follow these steps:

  1. Open Document Overview and select the Coming Soon block.
  2. Open Settings panel and select the Block tab.
  3. Change the text and background color as desired.

Design: Image Gallery

The Image Gallery design includes beautiful stock photos as placeholders. These placeholders are meant to be replaced with your own images.

  1. Click on any image in the design.
  2. Click on Replace.
  3. Select Media Library or Upload to choose your image.

Design: Modern Black

The Modern Black design uses Gutenberg’s Cover block to span the entire page with an image. To replace the image, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Document Overview and select the Cover block.
  2. Click on Replace.
  3. Select Media Library or Upload to choose your image.
