Agentic commerce lets compatible shopping agents use Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) services provided by your store. To use an external shopping service, your store also needs to complete that service’s onboarding and use a supported payment method.
Before you start
↑ Back to topWooCommerce must be active. Sign in as a store administrator or store manager and connect your store and user account to WordPress.com. Complete onboarding with your chosen shopping service and confirm that it supports your store’s payment method before offering agent checkout to customers.
Enable agentic commerce
↑ Back to top- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > WooCommerce AI.
- Turn on Enable agentic commerce. The setting saves automatically.
- Reload the settings page and confirm that the switch remains on.
Enabling this setting makes the store’s UCP services available. Complete the shopping service’s setup before accepting orders through it.
Check discovery and checkout readiness
↑ Back to topA compatible agent discovers your store through its UCP discovery document. Before accepting orders, ask the developer configuring the integration to check that the service can find your store, retrieve its products, and complete a test checkout with your payment method. If the plugin shows a discovery or permalink notice, follow the notice or ask your developer to check the deployment.
Turn the feature off
↑ Back to topReturn to WooCommerce > Settings > WooCommerce AI and turn off Enable agentic commerce. Confirm the switch remains off after reloading. Handle any existing orders through your normal WooCommerce order workflow.
Get integration help
↑ Back to topIf the shopping service cannot find your store or complete checkout, include its name, the plugin version, and the visible error when contacting Woo support. For developer configuration and troubleshooting, see the UCP integration reference.
