The user role feature was held back as we wanted to create a centralized experience allowing our customers to use any third-party user role editor to create new user roles. Later, these user roles can be used by your other extensions too allowing to expand naturally.
However, we have now added full fledge user role editor in our extension. You can now create new user roles or even manage your existing user roles from our extension settings. Any third-party extension, that uses the standard user roles should be able to use user roles created using our extension as well.
