Currently the system sends an expiry reminder for any voucher/gift certificate that has that has both an expiration date and an email in the “Allowed Emails” field, regardless of the remaining balance, which is ludicrous when the remaining balance is zero. The general settings page recommends that the option to remove expired vouchers is left disabled so the vouchers remain in the system, thus generating a superfluous reminder. There should be an option to toggle the reminder off when the remaining balance is zero.
