It was announced that Stripe will start accepting PayPay (the most popular 2D code payment method in Japan) in April 2025. However, this plugin is not compatible and cannot be used. I hope this will be implemented.

PayPay is one of the most widely used cashless payment methods in Japan and is an important payment option for Japanese e-commerce stores.
Stripe already supports PayPay in Japan, but merchants using the official WooCommerce Stripe Gateway cannot currently offer it to their customers. This creates a significant disadvantage for WooCommerce merchants in the Japanese market and may result in lost sales.
Using another payment provider such as KOMOJU is not an ideal solution, as the transaction fees are higher than Stripe. Since Stripe already supports PayPay, I strongly hope that WooCommerce will add native PayPay support to the official Stripe Gateway.
Please consider prioritizing this feature for merchants in Japan.
