I found this great plugin for creating mega menus. Works well in Canvas, other themes requires a bit of stylization to get it to look right with the theme.
I’ll second Rodney … If you added something as awesome as that Mega Menu plugin Jon posted, it would be really awesome! Otherwise I may have to buy a copy of that plugin 😉
I’ve built mega menus before using the woo-menu superfish scripts as is, but it’s absolutely painstaking to do and I’ve never been able to make one that actually validates…
I like http://codecanyon.net/item/css3-mega-drop-down-menu/126387 a lot better than http://wpmegamenu.com/ and would love for you to follow those layout options more. I actually bought this mega menu but had a hard time as a “copy and paste developer” getting it to work and look right. I’m so excited to hear you’re thinking of adding this feature.
I would also love a better menu in Woothemes. Both Rockettheme and Yootheme use stunning menus in their templates, while we are left of with some grey, hard to customize and boring ones at Woothemes 😉
I think the best way to implement this is to UPDATE the Woo Navigation — maybe call it Woo-Mega Navigation.
Simply add more MEGA meu options for the DEFAULT of all menus, and then add INDIVIDUAL MEGA OPTIONS to each menu.
As a MEGA OPTION, all sub categories can appear in one (default), two or three columns automatically.
For INDIVIDUAL MEGA options perhaps some custom HTML to appear within a menu as an option on a per menu basis. I think this can be implemented right now in fact!
Also when your menus get a large number of items they can get difficult to manage. Perhaps a TREE like setup would be better, with the option to hide menu sub-categories in the tree.
For a love cooking person kitchenware choice is very important,First,Kitchen production must exquisite,Because of exquisite kitchen utensils can affect the cook’s mood.Secondly,Kitchen utensils style needs a lot,Different food needs different kitchen utensils for cooking,So can release part of the most delicious food. third,Their prices are reasonable, cheap kitchen appliances. So,Some good kitchen utensils for a love cooking person is very important,I have read a lot of online kitchen utensils. But,ithout a shop can exceed the kitchen aid appliances home cooking utensils,Professional design and production,Will become love cooking food people’s first choice How to reasonably select the kitchen utensils http://gochinawholesale.com
As you guys are building this, please keep accessibility in mind. This is where ubermenus drops the ball. Government, Educational and other such institutes in the USA are just shy of being required to have sites that are accessibile. Not being able to tab through the primary navigation is a problem. A bonus would be to be able to have tab activate the dropdown so you can tab through links in each section. Just a thought.
Seem the link below bit the dust along with any hope of ever seeing this happen…
Seems obvious to me this is something a lot of people want and continue to comment about for the past 2 1/2 years yet Woo seem to be largely ignoring this…
Agreed, and it’s a shame, but their current business model would probably develop this as a paid plugin solution, and as UberMenu is well established, very compatible, and only costs about $20, I can perhaps see why they’re dragging their heels. Their plugin pricing is quite expensive compared to the CodeCanyon offerings.
totally agree i have been waiting for this for ages . Woo promised this was in the pipeline ages ago. how many people havent even seen this last post and are just holding out for it to appear. come om guys – listen to what your customers want.
Very excited about this… but if it’s not out soon I’ll be looking at getting the PootlePress Storefront Pro instead… which has Mega Menu. Please hurry up.

At first I thought “what’s that”? Then I thought “meh, complicated navigation”, then I saw the demo plugin that Jon posted and was like WOW!

WOW. This would be awesome. My school would really like to have this feature.
Yes Me Do!
Oh man, this would be AWESOME!
I’ve built mega menus before using the woo-menu superfish scripts as is, but it’s absolutely painstaking to do and I’ve never been able to make one that actually validates…
Here is some examples:

This would be my favourite upgrade I’ve seen from Woo in a while!!!

Stop tweeting about it and make it! 🙂
Would love it.Especially if it ends up in the framework.
Definitely Need it – but for all themes – not just the latest ones, Update in the framework like Shortcodes were and like Gregg says below 😉
Mega Menus is the MOST important thing you can do.
WP Megamenu is a good start. I also like theRocket Themes implementation.

I am still on board for this idea! I think this would be great for upkeeping a recipe database for all my chef friends.
This is a cool ‘mega menu’ type approach:

Brilliant idea!
Yes! I suggested this back in February and I love that you are considering it.
UberMenu, MegaMenu- whatever.
Mega Menus would be the next awesome feature of WooThemes!
We’re building a plugin which will deliver this functionality and integrate with popular Woo themes 🙂 http://miniraffe.com
I am using the ubermenu plugin which I love but yes, it would be nice to see this incorporated in Canvas and others as well!!

Any update on this ? Any release date ?
Yep… ubermenu… it works..at least with Canvas I know. And it is very flexible.
Heya guys,
I voted for this but I’ve just tried the most recent version of Ubermenu from code canyon and It does the job perfectly … It’s responsive too.
Hopefully!!!
This would be awesome, if it was incorporated. The difference between this and UberMenu would be that this would be free.
Uber menu costs $16 … hardly a ripoff! but then a mega menu is important to ecommerce (imo) so I imagine woo would defo have an interest in this.
Ok .. I’m excited! +1 on your woohoo!
Should be like Ubermenu!!
In case anyone hasn’t seen this… http://www.woothemes.com/upcoming-products/mighty-menus/
This is the best mega menu I found just click on the + sign on the left of slider pick : http://themeforest.net/item/onecart-ajax-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/3167538

ETA or something ?
Anyone know how the mega menu is comming along?
Is there any update on this?

Update from Woo team on this please? Just let us know if you’re cancelling on this – thanks!
Hi Emyr,
Mega Menus isn’t on our immediate radar, no.
Thanks and regards,
Matty.

When is the mega menu for storefront going to be launched?
Any news?
Would the Mega Menu allow for an off-canvas mobile menu?
Any update about mega-menu?
Storefront Mega Menus coming very soon. We’re not far away from a beta now 🙂
‘@emzo, I think it’s unlikely that we’ll have a private beta.
Very excited about this… but if it’s not out soon I’ll be looking at getting the PootlePress Storefront Pro instead… which has Mega Menu. Please hurry up.
Will it work for Storefront child themes like Galleria?
