WooCommerce 10.9 has launched with some key updates working in the background, as well as with one new tool that surfaces directly in your admin.

See whether Woo sent an order email
↑ Back to topIf a customer says they never got an order confirmation, merchants need to be able to troubleshoot and see the status of that email. WooCommerce 10.9 now brings transactional email logging into the core experience. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs to find out whether an email was sent — and, where available, why it didn’t.
Your store uses fewer resources per checkout
↑ Back to topCheckout now does less unnecessary database work before a shopper is ready to place an order, which gives stores more headroom during busy periods. The Store API now creates draft orders when a shopper is ready to place one, rather than earlier in their checkout flow. This means reduced database workload, improved filter query behavior, and lower query volume on the shop and admin pages.
Less clutter on the pages you use every day
↑ Back to topWhen you open your dashboard, you’ll notice a cleaner look, and less clutter during day-to-day store management. The Woo admin header got some added polish and better alignment with the WordPress design system; modals look cleaner on smaller screens; the task list reminder bar has been removed from most Woo admin pages; and setup guidance is still there when you need it, but stays out of the way in the activity panel.
