Postcode / Address Validation works by connecting your store to a service that provides address or postcode lookup. You can use Loqate, Postcode.nl, PostcodeSoftware.net, or Fetchify.

Address auto-completion

Address auto-complete is available with Loqate, which works for merchants in any country. With a paid Loqate account, your customers can auto-complete addresses in any country and addresses can be classified as “residential” or “commercial”.

Merchants in any country can sign up for an Loqate account to get started.

Postcode lookup

Address lookup by postcode is available for UK or NL addresses via one of the following providers: Postcode.NL, PostcodeSoftware.net, or Fetchify.

PostcodeSoftware.net and Fetchify use data from Royal Mail to perform UK address lookups based on postcode, so you can be assured of address data accuracy. You’ll need a low-cost plan with any of these providers to perform UK postcode lookups.

Merchants who’d like to offer postcode lookup in the Netherlands can use Postcode.NL to provide postcode lookup for Dutch addresses.

    "As of WooCommerce 8.3, Cart and Checkout blocks are available as the default experience. WooCommerce Address Validation has not *yet* been updated to be compatible with those blocks" Me: "What does "not yet update" in the context of a SaaS solution mean when the external factors that require an adjustment have changed eight years ago?" ChatGPT: "In that context, “not yet updated” is essentially misleading language. If the external factors that require the change shifted eight years ago, then “not yet updated” does not mean pending or upcoming in any meaningful sense. What it really implies One (or more) of the following is true: 1. The feature was deprioritized or abandoned — “Not yet” is being used to avoid saying “we’re not doing this.” 2. Technical or architectural debt prevents the update — The system may be difficult or costly to change. 3. Lack of ownership or resources — No team is responsible, or it’s not economically justified. 4. Strategic disinterest — The change doesn’t align with the company’s business goals." Me: "misleading" is a euphemism.

    Great plugin for classic checkout. But, does not work with cart/checkout blocks... considering how long blocks have been available, disappointed that this plugin hasn't been maintained.

    Hi, the plugin works very well with locate. I asked support to give us the ability to allow us to bypass the address check in the company field and within 1 hour Zach from the support emailed us a working solution. Impressive. Great product and support.

    The product has bugs The product has bugs as below: Issues: 1- How can I allow customers to manually write their address if they don't use the postcode finder? In another system, we had two buttons: one for searching and another next to it for "Manually input address." 2- For some reason, the email field is not showing until you search for your postcode. While I don't mind this, the email field is appearing at the top of all other fields, which causes customers to miss it as they bypass this step. I have emailed the support with no repaly for over 3 days.

    Great product with outstanding support We use this plugin on a few of our client's sites, the UI looks great, it's easy to use and works seamlessly. One thing that really stands out is the support we received. We had a compatibility issue with a couple of plugins, out of all the plugin developers contacted Steve at SkyVerge was by far the most helpful, with quick and helpful responses which eventually led to Steve solving the problem. Highly recommend!
