Inspect Bookings Calendar Availability Data

Use your browser’s developer tools to inspect the availability data returned to a WooCommerce Bookings product calendar. This can help you compare the calendar’s data with the product’s availability rules and existing bookings.

Note:

This is a Developer level doc. If you are unfamiliar working with code and resolving potential conflicts, we recommend you work with a Woo Agency Partner for larger projects, or find a WooCommerce developer on Codeable for smaller customizations. We are unable to provide support for customizations under our Support Policy.

Before you start

You’ll need a bookable product with a calendar and access to your browser’s developer tools. Use a staging site where possible. Network responses can contain store data; review and remove sensitive information before sharing them.

Inspect the calendar request

  1. Open the bookable product page and open the browser’s developer tools. Select the Network panel.
  2. Reload the product page, then filter the requests for the following request name:
wc_bookings_find_booked_day_blocks

Select the request and inspect its response. The JSON includes availability rules and lists of partially booked, fully booked, and unavailable days. Compare the relevant dates and rules with the product settings and the store’s bookings. An empty list does not by itself prove a date is bookable; other settings and rules can affect availability.

In availability rule types, time:1 represents Monday and time:6 represents Saturday. The browser request uses a security nonce, so inspect the request generated by the page rather than disabling the nonce check.

If the request fails

Check its status and response in the Network panel and review the browser console. A failed request can have several causes; check caching, security configuration, and plugin conflicts on a staging site. If you need help, share the relevant error and troubleshooting steps with WooCommerce support, after removing sensitive data.
