Prevent a gift card balance from partially paying a subscription renewal. The customer’s balance must cover the full renewal total.

Test custom code on a staging site before using it on your store. Add PHP to a custom plugin or a child theme’s functions.php file. If the file is already inside a PHP block, omit the opening PHP tag.
Install and activate WooCommerce Subscriptions and enable gift card balance for renewals in the store and for the subscription. By default, an available balance can cover part of a renewal, with the remainder paid through the subscription’s payment method. With this filter, the gift card balance is used only when it covers the full renewal total.
Add this filter:
