Hot off the press and in most UK newspaper/stationery stores is Issue 149 of Web Designer , the only serious tutorial-driven monthly publication dedicated to online creativity available in the UK .
Issue 149 focusses on the wonderful WordPress , giving you history and tips behind Web 2.0’s blogging behemoth.
We were approached by Web Designer last month and asked if we would contribute any of our WooThemes for this issue’s accompanying CD. After a brief chat Adii, Magnus and myself decided it would be silly to pass on the opportunity of marketing WooThemes to the huge following of this great magazine. After careful consideration we decided we would offer both Papercut and Proudfolio . That’s right two of our premium themes are avaliable for free with Issue 149 of Web Designer. Also in this issue is a step-by-step detailed tutorial on how to develop your own WordPress theme, albeit quite a basic one.
What are you waiting for? Make sure you pick up your copy today!
About
Wow! Congrats!! ^^;
I think I’ll get this issue, just for the sake of WordPress and WOOThemes. 🙂
Wow, that’s pretty cool. Congrats!
good thanks a lot
Thats quite cool. Congrats guys 🙂
I usually buy .net magazine, but will be sure to grab Web Designer this month too. Good deal!
Sweet, might get my hands on a copy of this mag.
Amazing job to all the guys! That is one great accomplishment. Keep it up 🙂
Congrats
That is really cool guys, hopefully I can get my hands on a copy.
Congratulations!
Too bad the Dutch Webdesigner Magazine is about three issues behind on the UK. Patience..
Congrats guys!
Love to see you guys get all this publicity! Ordered a copy (costs a bit more to send to US – wonder how long it will take).

Thanks guys. I have been looking at themes for weeks for my non for profit faith based project. Revolution, Graph paper Press, One Theme, 75 K and Theme Forrest. I liked papercut because it is design ready to go and has a mellow look – feel. This is great news because it is coming out of my pocket for the site development. Question: Is there an option to remove the info in the footer on the Web Design Version?
Awesome, picked up my copy today! 🙂
That’s great! Congratulations guys n’ gals!
Cool!
Admittedly, never heard of the magazine, but I’ve now discovered you can actually buy copies here in the Netherlands (at a few ‘very’ selected outlets). Quite a good article…
Woah guys, don’t take this the wrong way – I’m a massive supporter and a fan of the work that you’re doing with WooThemes but this statement above could NOT be further from the truth!
«[Web Designer Magazine:] the only serious tutorial-driven monthly publication dedicated to online creativity available in the UK»
Frankly this is an insult to the UK design industry to suggest that there is only one ‘serious tutorial-driven monthly publication dedicated to online creativity’ in the entire country!
To be completely honest with you Web Designer Mag (I buy every issue, including the one mentioned here) is NOT even one of the best ones around! It has some good content occasionally, but the writing is lackluster and generally uninspiring – it’s a bit unfair to big it up to such an insanely high level just because you guys got a 3″x4″ feature on one page of the mag.
On another note, I was chuffed to bits to get proudfolio and papercut for free with the issue and the other «premium themes» on the CD were absolute CRAP. Terrible designs, terrible interfaces, sloppy code, and generally downright awful (I didn’t even bother taking a local copy). If anything they just increased my loyalty to WooThemes even further because I know now that you guys are one of the few places out there offering consistently high-quality themes that are miles ahead of the rest.
Wow…cool…congrats for all
