Choose the dates for the complete basket

Good morning,
I am interested in your extension, before ordering it from you, I would like to know if it is possible to choose the rental date at the end of the order for several products at once.

    Go to WooCommerce > Rentals > Settings, scroll down to the availability checker section, the first paragraph there has the following link:

    “For details on how to use the availability checker click here.”

    This contains all the information on how it works and how to implement it.

    Hi,

    The extension does not include a means of first adding items to cart and then selecting dates for all the rental products during cart/checkout.

    The extension does include an availability checker block/shortcode which can be added into the user journey for the customer to select their required dates and then products throughout the store will show an availability status, on product pages if the product is available on those dates it will automatically populate the dates ready to add to cart.

    Adding the functionality to add products to cart before selecting any dates and then the setting of rental dates across all products in cart after is fairly complex due to the current pricing mechanisms in place which calculate the price to pay at product page level (e.g. it’s very easy for us to allow a user to change all rental dates on rentals in cart, but the pricing wouldn’t be correct as the pricing is calculated currently on the product page based on the quantity/options/dates selected), there are several factors that would need to be investigated for all the scenarios that could occur upon changing dates.

    We have this request on our backlog and we are open to including it in future, however it requires significant changes to how the pricing/availability mechanisms currently work, that combined with WooCommerce’s product page elements currently being in the process of transitioning to block based elements means if we started work on this, it may need to change significantly again in future.

    We also have HPOS compatibility to contend with at present time which is ultimately a requirement otherwise the extension would cease to function when that is enabled by default in core, once we have HPOS compatibility in place and WooCommerce product page element blocks are more developed this is something we can begin development of for a future milestone release.
