Target your niche with these new WooCommerce tools

target-your-niche

When setting up your WooCommerce-powered store, there are two important considerations (among the many others) which store owners often place at the bottom of their to-do list; how to differentiate your store from the rest of the pack and how to target your specific niche.

Today’s collection of WooCommerce extensions aims to assist with both of these tasks. Using the Segment.io integration and Products of the Day, you could measure your visitors and display specific products on the days where you see the most activity. Using the Additional Fees based on Payment Gateway selected and the Admin Custom Order Fields extensions, you could help to guide your visitors to use specific payment processors, or add custom fields, specific to your niche, to each order received (and emailed) from your store.

    • The photography extension is on it’s way! We’re wrapping up the final few percentiles before sending it for a final round of testing. 🙂

Keep an eye on this blog for more, as we have it. 🙂

    • We understand that these extensions aren’t for everyone.

If you don’t see any value in the update, there is no reason to comment on the blog post (unless the comment itself is constructive). 🙂

  3. I’m interested in testing these extensions and see how they perform in real life 🙂

If anyone is interested I’ve also developed an extension for WooCommerce that allows to increase revenue in WooCommerce shops and I would like very much to get feedback people running stores. It’s a solution for follow up e-mails and SMS that I’ve seen works pretty well to prevent cart abandonment,

    • Hi Nuno,

Now is a great time to test out the extensions you’re after, as we’re having our Black Friday special, at the moment. 🙂

Testing our products is exactly what the 30-day refund policy is intended for. We encourage you to purchase our products and try them out. If they aren’t to your liking, you can apply for a refund. We’re confident you’ll like what you see when you test the products, though. 🙂

  4. I was waiting for “Black Friday” to buy the Sensei Teaching plugin which even after the discount is still very highly priced ($149 before discount). Then on top of that the yearly fee is a definite show stopper.

I know you need to support your products which is why you have a yearly fee but there are many other WordPress markets that doesn’t have a yearly renewal fee.

I personally use to buy many plugins, even just to try them out. Some worked and some didn’t but I didn’t worry about it to much because they where affordable.

Any product, including Woocommerce plugins are definitely price driven, the cheaper they are the more you will sell. So I guess you guys just need to find the perfect price balance. I can almost guarantee that if you lower the price you will again see an increase in sales which must have gone down…

I personally go the Codecanyon for plugins where they are still affordable, in fact I spend more money at Codecanyon than at Woothemes since the drastic price increase at Woothemes. Believe me you are driving customers away because of price, you need to adjust to the economy.

With that said WooCommerce is still the best eCommerce solution for WordPress. Keep up the good work and keep down the prices for more sales.

    Just my thoughts.

    • Hi Tony and thanks for the feedback! 🙂

I think we have documented the reasoning for our price levels enough on our blog so I suggest reading our blog posts to understand why we needed to make these changes to become sustainable.

If you are building an e-commerce site, we want to make sure you can rely on us sticking around, and that our business and products are available 5-10 years down the line.

  5. Is it possible to add discount option to “Payment Gateway based Fees”???
Sometimes youre interested in one payment provider than in another and ready to give some discount for paying with it.

  8. We are really interested in these business tools. I sent an email request the other day hoping to have a dialogue with someone about the subscription model and a possible migration of our current site. I’d love to hear back!

  9. Sorry if this is the wrong place to mention but is there any way of accessing the fields created in the “custom order fields” when using the “Follow Up Emails” plugin?
