Some WooCommerce features, shortcodes, and integrations require a product category ID. This document explains how to find the ID for your product categories in WooCommerce.
For more details, see Shortcodes included with WooCommerce. You can also use the blocks included in WooCommerce with a theme that supports full site editing.
Find a product category ID
↑ Back to topFollow these steps to locate the ID for a specific product category:
- In your WordPress admin, go to Products > Categories.
- Hover over a category name.
- Click the category name or the Edit link.
- Look at the address bar of your browser.
- In the URL, find the
tag_ID=parameter. The number after the equals sign is the category ID. For example, intag_ID=16, the category ID is 16.
