View or Edit a Booking

Use the Edit booking page to review an existing booking, change its details, reschedule it, or record attendance. Before you begin, make sure WooCommerce Bookings is active and your account can edit the booking.

View booking details

  1. Go to Bookings > All Bookings in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Find the booking and select its Booking # link or View button.

The Edit booking page shows the booking’s status, customer, booked product, persons, and dates. If the booking has an order, a link to that order appears below the booking number. You can also open a booking from the Bookings calendar by selecting the booking and then View details.

Edit and save booking details

Update the fields you need, then select Save Booking in the Booking actions panel. Reopen the booking and confirm that the saved values match your changes.

  • General details: Change the linked Order ID, creation date, booking status, attendance status, or assigned customer. To change the linked order, your account also needs permission to edit both the current and selected orders. See booking statuses before changing the booking status.
  • Booking specification: Change the booked product and resource, where available. Leave Parent booking ID unchanged unless you’re maintaining an existing parent-booking relationship. Under Person(s), update the number of persons or the counts for individual person types.
  • Booking date & time: Review the start and end dates, all-day setting, and start and end times. For moving an active reservation to an available slot, use Reschedule booking below.

Customer details can come from the assigned user account and linked order. To change the order’s billing address, email, or phone number, open the linked order and edit its customer details.

If your changes don’t remain after saving, check the page for an error. Dates use the format shown in the fields, and the end of the booking must follow its start. If an order-permission error appears, ask your site administrator to check your access to both orders before trying again.

Reschedule a booking

Use Reschedule booking to choose a new date and time against current availability. The booking keeps its original price. Save any other edits before opening this flow, because applying the new date reloads the page.

  1. In Booking date & time, select Reschedule booking.
  2. Choose an available date and time. Review the duration, persons, and resource options if the product provides them.
  3. Select Apply new date and wait for the page to reload.
  4. Check the saved start and end dates and times. For a linked order, check that its total still matches the original price.

The reschedule control is available for Confirmed, Paid, Unpaid, and Pending Confirmation bookings with a bookable product. It isn’t offered for Cancelled, Complete, In Cart, or Was In Cart bookings. If a slot is unavailable or another reservation takes it before you apply the change, choose another available slot. Select Cancel to close the dialog without applying a change.

Warning:

Changing booking dates or times alone doesn’t send an automatic email to the customer. Let them know about the change separately. For one customer with a linked order, send a note to the customer from that order. To contact customers with future bookings for a particular product, use Bookings > Send Notification; check the recipients because this isn’t a single-booking message.

Record attendance

Attendance records whether the customer has checked in. It is separate from the booking’s payment or completion status. New bookings start as Unattended; completing a booking doesn’t automatically mark it as attended.

  1. Open the booking and find Attendance status under General details.
  2. Select Attended when the customer checks in, or Unattended to correct a check-in.
  3. Select Save Booking, then reopen the booking to verify its attendance status.

You can record an early arrival before the booking is complete. Attendance is hidden for cancelled bookings. If an older booking shows Attendance Status not configured, select Configure Attendance Status before choosing and saving a value. To initialize older bookings in bulk, use WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Add missing attendance status.

Sync changes to Google Calendar

With an active Google Calendar connection, saving or rescheduling a booking also requests a calendar sync. Check the event in the connected calendar to confirm the new dates and times. If it hasn’t updated, check the connection and any sync errors before retrying; the message beside Save Booking isn’t proof that a sync succeeded.

Check booking notes

For bookings with a linked order, the Notes panel shows booking-related order notes, including recorded status changes and Google Calendar sync results. Open the linked order to review its full order notes. An orderless booking can have an empty Notes panel, and these notes aren’t a complete history of every field edit.
