Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about the increase in fraudulent orders since installing Amazon Pay for WooCommerce version 2.6.0. We’re sorry to hear about this issue and want to help resolve it quickly.
To better understand the situation, could you please provide more details about the fraudulent orders? Specifically:
What patterns or signs indicate these orders are fraudulent (e.g., unusual IP addresses, mismatched billing/shipping details, or high-value orders)? How many fraudulent orders have occurred since September 29, 2025, and are there any common factors among them? Have you noticed any errors or unusual behavior in the plugin logs or WooCommerce dashboard related to these transactions?Additionally, could you clarify where you submitted your support tickets to Amazon? Was it through the Amazon Pay Seller portal or another channel?
Please note that Amazon Pay Seller support (via the seller portal) is separate from support for the Amazon Pay for WooCommerce plugin. The seller portal handles account and transaction issues, while our plugin only connects your site to your Amazon Pay Seller account via API. We do not directly process transactions. If you suspect this is a plugin-specific issue, we recommend submitting a support ticket through WooCommerce.com, which will be redirected to our team for specialized assistance.
We’re here to help get this sorted out—please share any additional details or your WooCommerce support ticket number if you’ve already submitted one.
I'm really sorry to hear that you've had such a frustrating experience. Just so you know, we’re part of a different support department, so it might be best to reach out to the right team for help with your specific issue.
On another note, I believe I’ve figured out why some taxes aren’t being calculated. According to WooCommerce, even if the tax amount shows as 0.00, Automated Taxes might still be working behind the scenes.
This could be related to 'tax nexus.' Essentially, you only need to collect sales tax in places where you have a tax nexus, like a physical presence or if you hit certain sales thresholds in a state. For more details, you can check out this WooCommerce documentation.
As for the Amazon Pay plugin, we pull the address directly from the user’s Amazon Pay wallet, which always includes the +4 ZIP code. In the tests with the plugins you mentioned, the taxes were calculated just fine.
If you’d like more personalized assistance, you can open a ticket through WooCommerce.com by going to My Dashboard and selecting the Support tab.
Best, Saucal
