How to get started

  1. Contact Avalara to purchase an account, if you don’t already have one.
  2. Download and install the Avalara for WooCommerce extension.
  3. Log in to your Avalara account to get your Account Number and License Key.
  4. Input your Account Number and License Key within your WooCommerce settings.
  5. Set up and save your tax codes and settings for your store.

    Terrible avoid if at all possible. Doesn't support modern Woocommerce block cart or checkout. Frequently causes errors when updating. I get scared every time I update this plugin. Hot garbage... avoid, avoid avoid.

    Support is terrible. Period. You have to pay for a "support plan" if you even want to speak to a non-ai customer service agent. Kind of ridiculous.

    I had this subscription years ago, it did not worth a dime. Inactive subscription stuck on my WooCommerce account and I am not even able to delete it from there. Horrible product.

    We can never get this to work properly and calculate taxes where we are set up to file. Customer support also struggled when i called them trying to get the software to calculate properly. We are looking for a new product to calculate sales tax for us.

    I'll echo the other review. This crashed my entire store when updating, took the site down and had to restore from a previous backup. If they can't build a plugin that works reliably, I'll have to find another service. Do not activate autoupdate on this one!!! What's worse, is that Avalara support is useless. They're insisting that I crash my site again so that I can record a video of me clicking the 'update' button. I'm actively looking for a replacement solution.
