Keep customers informed and manage their replies without leaving WordPress. WhatsApp Notification and Messaging for WooCommerce connects your store to Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API for customer order updates, two-way conversations, eligible abandoned-cart reminders, and selected customer campaigns.
Review the setup requirements and template guidance
Choose the customer notifications that fit your store. The extension can send a message when an order is placed and when a supported WooCommerce order status changes.
Order-status messages reflect WooCommerce changes. They do not provide carrier tracking.
Bring customer updates and conversations into the workflow where you manage your store.
Reply to customers with text and supported media from WordPress admin.
Read incoming WhatsApp messages and reply from the WhatsApp Chats screen. Supported formats include text, images, audio, video, and common document types.
Keyword replies are rule-based, not AI-generated. Free-form replies follow Meta’s customer-service-window rules.
Send one reminder after a logged-in customer leaves an unfinished cart and has the required billing phone details saved to their account.
Guest abandoned carts are not captured. Guest order notifications have different eligibility and remain supported.
Search customers, filter by role, and save selected contacts as a campaign group. You can include everyone matching the current filter, then exclude individuals before saving.
A campaign group is a saved customer audience, not a WhatsApp group chat. Scheduling creates a single future send, not a recurring campaign.
The campaign queue separates processing progress from the outcomes returned by Meta. A sent queue count means Meta accepted the request; it does not confirm delivery. With a live webhook, available delivered, read, and failed outcomes are shown separately. The extension retains the latest 200 outbound template-message records across the site, so this is recent status visibility rather than complete historical analytics.

Queue acceptance and delivery outcomes describe different stages. Available status callbacks require a live webhook.
The extension supports WooCommerce HPOS. Merchants remain responsible for customer permission and opt-out requests; version 1.5.0 does not automatically persist unsubscribe preferences.
Read the setup and workflow documentation
You need active WooCommerce and a configured Meta WhatsApp Cloud API account, including a registered sending number, Meta app credentials and approved message templates. A personal WhatsApp account alone is not sufficient. Incoming messages, keyword replies and delivery statuses also require a live webhook and the App Secret. Follow the setup guide for the required template-variable examples; order and coupon templates without that metadata are not fully supported in version 1.5.0.
No. The Marketplace subscription and Meta messaging charges are separate. Meta's charges depend on the recipient market and message category, with exceptions for eligible messages. Use Meta's current pricing information when estimating usage costs. Your extension billing term and price are shown in the Marketplace purchase area.
Guest order notifications are supported using the phone number and country recorded with the order. Guest abandoned carts are not captured. Abandoned-cart reminders require a logged-in customer with the required stored billing phone details, an enabled reminder workflow and a usable approved template. Version 1.5.0 does not provide a functional cart-restoration URL button in these reminders.
The nine settings are new coupon, new order, cancelled, failed, on hold, processing, completed, refunded and password reset. Order notifications go to the order customer using their billing details. Coupon announcements use the selected role, and account-reset messages relate to the matching customer account. These settings do not provide general staff alerts or carrier tracking.
You can read and reply to customer messages in the WordPress admin inbox, including supported media. Auto-replies use Exact Match or Contains keyword rules that you define; they are not AI-generated. Meta allows free-form replies within the 24-hour customer-service window after a customer's message; approved templates are needed outside that window. The extension does not add a floating chat button to your storefront.
Yes. Choose recipients by role or use a saved campaign group built from the Contact List. You can queue a broadcast now or schedule one future send. Scheduling does not create a recurring hourly or daily campaign. Campaign groups are saved customer audiences, not WhatsApp group chats. Processing and delivery timing depend on your site's scheduling and Meta.
The campaign queue's sent count means Meta accepted the message request. Available sent, delivered, read and failed outcomes come from Meta's webhook and are shown separately. Status history retains the latest 200 outbound template-message records across the site, so older or larger campaigns may have incomplete status counts. This is recent status visibility, not a complete historical analytics report.
You are responsible for customer permission and honoring opt-out requests. The extension does not automatically persist unsubscribe preferences, so maintain that process separately and check audiences before sending promotions. For help with the extension, use its documentation and the support option on WooCommerce.com. Updates and support follow the terms of your Marketplace subscription.
