Theme Installation

To install the Arquio theme on your WordPress website, follow these steps:

  1. Download the theme files from the source.
  2. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Navigate to “Appearance” > “Themes”.
  4. Click on the “Add New” button at the top.
  5. Click on the “Upload Theme” button.
  6. Choose the Arquio theme file you downloaded and click “Install Now”.
  7. After the theme is installed, click the “Activate” button to make it your active theme.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed the Arquio theme on your WordPress website. Now let’s move on to customizing the theme.

Customizing the Header

As the Header and Footer will be a consistent part of most of your pages, we recommend setting up the Header and Footer of your website first before adding content to your pages.

To customize the Header of your Arquio theme, follow these steps:

  1. Go to “Appearance” > “Editor” in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Click on “Template Parts”.
  3. Look for “Header” and click on the Edit icon (the icon with a pen) to open the Header Template part and view the default Header in the Editor.

You can use the Site Title and Site Logo block to add your website title and logo to the Header.

To replace the demo’s site logo with your own image, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the logo in the Editor.
  2. Click “Replace” in the Toolbar.
  3. Select and upload your own logo image.

You can also set the Site Logo as your website favicon in the Site Logo block settings.

Navigation Menu

To customize the navigation menu in the Arquio theme:

  1. Click on the Navigation placeholder to activate it.
  2. Click the “+” button to add links to your menu items.
  3. In the Menu item block pop-up window, you can search for a post, page, create a new one, or set a custom link.
  4. Alternatively, open the Block settings panel via the Settings icon on the top right of the editor and choose a previously created Navigation from the select panel under Menu.

Customizing the Footer

To customize the Footer of your Arquio theme, follow these steps:

  1. Go to “Appearance” > “Editor” in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Click on “Template Parts” and select “Footer”.
  3. Click on the Edit icon to open the Footer Template part in the Editor.

The default Arquio Footer consists of two main Group blocks. The first one contains three widgets block.

The second Group block contains the Copyright text, an additional important sitewide text links to your privacy policy or similar and your social sites using the Social Icons block.

Customize your Footer to align with your branding and provide important information to your website visitors.

Custom Patterns

Arquio theme provides a variety of pre-built block patterns that you can easily add to your pages or posts. These patterns offer ready-made designs and layouts to enhance your content creation process.

To explore and add block patterns to your content, follow these steps:

  1. From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the “Pages” or “Posts” section and select a page or post to edit.
  2. In the editor, locate the + Block Inserter icon in the top-left corner.
  3. Click on the “Patterns” tab to access the available block patterns.
  4. Browse through the patterns, categorized by Arquio.
    • You can also click the “Explore all patterns” button to open the patterns in a new, larger window.
  5. Click on any pattern to add it to your page or post at the location of your cursor.

With the custom patterns in Arquio, you can effortlessly enhance your content layout and design, saving you time and effort in building visually appealing pages and posts.
