Let us know on the WooCommerce

Since the release of WooCommerce 2.0 about two months ago, we’ve continued to improve the core WooCommerce plugin and have released a couple fix releases. Today, we’ve released WooCommerce 2.0.9 which is the latest stable release. We always recommend people to update to the latest stable release (with proper testing on a testing environment, preferably), because it contains important fixes for bugs that you might not even know existed. This way you’ll keep your store safe and free of bugs for your customers.

I’m getting a “Fatal error: Out of memory” error after updating to woocommerce 2.0.9…

Cannot access wp-admin, recovered from backup taken before the update and everything works fine again

    These look great. One question.

I currently try to use a pop up to capture emails, but I can’t because it appears on all pages (including my cart), and stops my SSL certificate from working (it uses some http links, rather than https). Will this be a problem with Splash Popup? I will be using Aweber.

    Thanks!

      That’s actually a good question.

First of all I would say that the content of the popup is your responsibility and not really something the extension can account for. If it needs to be secure then it should just be a case of replacing http instances with https.

I understand that is easier said than done if you do not actually control the content though. Having said that, a lot of services these days offer a ‘secure’ version of their embed code. Have you looked for that?

Re this extension in particular, if the popup has been closed and the cookie set then the content is not loaded. So your cart / checkout will be fine, unless someone lands there initially and you’re loading insecure content. Seems unlikely someone would land on your cart or checkout page though…

Alternatively it would be a very simple modification to stop the popup appearing on the cart / checkout page at all. Just wrap the wc_splash_content() function in an if statement that queries our is_cart() and is_checkout() conditionals before loading.

How does the ‘Product Retailer’ extension handle stock notifications? Is there a way of integrating stock feeds?

In terms of the Splash Pop Up, can I use to such that if a user isn’t logged in, I can ask him to either (i) provide an email address and password to create and account or (ii) login with his existing credentials?

If so, this is the best plugin ever!

Yup, you’d just need to find a plugin which allows you to add a log in / register form via shortcode (or write your own). Add that to the page that logged out users see.

An idea for an extension is one where we can rearrange our products once uploaded. There is the Super Sort, but I haven’t heard if it is fixed yet. It is very buggy when I have tried it. I am waiting for you to come up with one. I have over 1000 products in many different categires, but need to rearrange the actual products according to the sites purpose.

An ideas foe this yet? Thanks for always listening and responding!

Question about the Splash Popup: will it support a Mailchimp sign-up form?

      May 3, 2013 at 8:00 pm #

Yup. It’s all done with pages, whatever you put as the page content will appear in the popup.

Does something like the bulk variation forms exist, but for all products in the store? I need a form like this where they can select the product, and quantity, and add everything to the cart…

What about an extension where you can login with Facebook as an option. Like this example here
    https://ca.dollarshaveclub.com/customer/account/create/

How can I get that for my WooCommerce existing site?

    Think about it.

I really think you should build in a video thumbnail update for the product details page. And when the thumbnail is recognized as having a video, have a little video icon show up over top of it…that would make my life SOOOO awesommme.

    Hi there,

Is there an extension or a way of displaying products to registered users exclusively?

There is one “Catalog Visibility Options”, I use it, working good.

    Hi,

    I’m new here…
What do I need to sell information products? I’d like to start with PDF (watermarks would be nice, but not necessary)
I’m thinking about selling access to videos later.

    Thanks,
    Gerd

Maybe more gateways that work well with Subscriptions plugin. Looking for more options other than PayPal for UK and Irish customers, maybe realex and sagepay can be made to work with Subscriptions.

I would love to see the development of partial payments options, such as configuring a deposit amount, and then nominating payment terms in partial payments. Fixed amounts or in percentages.
