With WooCommerce Subscriptions, any change in a subscription product price is applied only to new subscription orders, not for existing subscriptions. How it works

Price updates can only be applied to subscriptions that are in Active, On Hold, Cancelled, or Pending Cancellation status.

Methods to bulk update subscription prices:

1. Bulk Actions from the Subscriptions List Table: This is the standard method for performing bulk updates. However, due to WordPress limitations, it can process a maximum of 999 subscriptions at a time. Please refer to the screenshot below for a visual reference.
2. Bulk Update via Subscription Settings: This is an advanced method for updating subscriptions in bulk using product and user-specific filters. The updates are processed in the background, and you can monitor the progress as a percentage. Unlike the first method, there is no restriction on the number of subscriptions that can be updated, making it ideal for websites managing a high volume of subscriptions. A screenshot of this option is provided below.

Email notifications

Customers are automatically notified via email once the subscription price is updated.

Note: If the subscription is placed using Auto Renewal, then the new price will be updated only if the payment gateway supports the amount change subscription feature.

Updating an individual subscription

Site admins can update the price of individual subscriptions without using the bulk action feature.
