Our Top 10 Selling Products Of 2014

People tell you they don’t have favorite children and while that might be true you do have ‘favorites’ when it comes to our products. These are them for the year that was twenty fourteen.

  1. WooCommerce Subscriptions
Our top product for 2014! Enabling WooCommerce store owners to sell a recurring subscription to a product is paramount in that it offers the store owner another revenue stream, in addition to conventional product sales. With continued updates, customer feedback and new feature development, WooCommerce Subscriptions is a regular powerhouse!
  2. Canvas
A theme which can transform itself into virtually any design the website owner desires, without having to code! Canvas’ seniority within premium WordPress themes, as well as it’s wide use, has cemented Canvas as a staple tool in the tool belt of many a website designer.
  3. Table Rate Shipping
While a somewhat complex concept to grasp, the Table Rate Shipping extension eases the process of setting up scalable shipping rates for your store.Enabling a shipping rate which adjusts based on location, cart weight and more is a great solution for tailoring your customer’s checkout experience.
  4. WooCommerce Bookings
As with WooCommerce Subscriptions, WooCommerce Bookings enables store owners to sell a commodity other than a standard product; their time. Through regular customer feedback and feature updates, WooCommerce Bookings is cementing itself as the tool of choice for offering time bookings for restaurants, hotels, consultants and more.
  5. Product CSV Import Suite
Not all commerce systems are built the same. Additionally, most systems don’t include a WXLR file export, for use with WordPress. CSV (comma separated value) files, however, are rather common. Easily import inventory from your existing inventory management systems, using the Product CSV Import Suite. This can save hours of time during the initial store set up and is a must-have for your tool belt.
  6. Product Add-ons
Sometimes, a product requires additional information for each order. For example, a t-shirt order may require custom text for the front of the print, or a bunch of flowers may require a name to whom the attached card is addressed. Product Add-ons enables store owners to add fields of different types to a product, requesting additional information when adding to the shopping cart.
  7. Sensei
The perfect tool for offering the one commodity everyone has; knowledge. Whether offered for free, or paid for using WooCommerce, Sensei enables anyone to share their knowledge online in the form of courses. These courses can begin small with a few lessons, and scale along with your training needs to include modules and advanced grading facilities.
  8. Dynamic Pricing
The customer purchasing experience is extremely important. In addition, there are many ways to entice your customer to spend that little bit extra with your store. Using Dynamic Pricing, it’s possible to set up sliding discounts based on a wide variety of criteria, such as how much a customer spends on a given order, their customer role and more.
  9. Stripe
A developer’s favourite payment gateway. Stripe is a modern payment gateway, offering an intuitive API for developers and excellent features for managing payments, all through a clean and polished user interface. Setting up a Stripe account is far easier than many other payment gateways, further making Stripe an ideal choice for new and experienced WooCommerce store owners alike.
  10. All Themes Package
The more the merrier, right? If you’re an agency offering websites to clients, or just love having as many options as possible, the All Themes Package is the product for you. This package also offers an overview of the evolution of WooThemes themes, with access to both older and newer products.

Of course, popularity is not everything and there are some niched gems that would top a different kind of list, but these are the ten when it comes to purely popularity. Any surprises in the list for you? Thanks for making 2014 a great year!

  1. Glad to see Sensei up there and hopefully it gets some much needed attention this year also. Would love to see class enrollment facility and also teachers managing their own courses and grading their own courses possibly with the Product Vendors addon or something similar. Keep it up

    • I like this comment more than sliced bread, I hope you are submitting ideas for us so we can keep making Bookings better. At some point it’ll be better than sliced bread with all those ideas! 🙂

      • Bookings is great but it’s a shame I can’t create a product that can run for 8 hours(or any amount), allow it to start at any hour of the day and also run over midnight.

      • Actually regarding my previous comment, I rolled back to 1.5.1 and found that I was almost able to do this, so it appears to be a new bug. Worth looking into.

For reference, the error appears when in 1.6.3:

Selecting a Booking duration of 1 Hour(s) with a Minimum and Maximum set to X, users are unable to book past the interval (X hours before 12pm). For example, I can’t book a 8 hour booking after 4pm.

I rolled back to 1.5.1 and I am able to book for example an 8 hour booking from 5pm etc. However, Even if resources are defined with only 1 available, if the booking runs over midnight, another person is able to book over the top of it.

I will submit a ticket too.

  4. Read so much about Sensei. And good to know about Stripe Plugin too.
Its really exciting times ahead with addition of new features and plugins. Taking WooCommerce much more seriously and developing advanced sites implementing it is in my todo lists for 2015.

    • +1

As a curator-developer, I second that. One that goes hand-in-hand with the All Themes Package would be fantastic!

  8. Of all these ten products provided here, I find the Canvas and Table Rate Shipping handier when it comes to Rapid Web Development especially with e-commerce websites. I’d love to stress on these two when recommending the ten products to any of my pals. Actually you don’t have to be an expert in web development provided you are equipped with them; the end result will be gorgeous. Believe me I have practical experience using them.
