As your business evolves, you may need to delete certain products or duplicate others to quickly create new listings with similar settings. This guide explains how to duplicate and delete products in your WooCommerce store.
Duplicating a product
↑ Back to topDuplicating an existing product saves time when you need to create similar products. You can use the duplicate as a starting point and adjust its details, variations, or other attributes as needed.
To duplicate an existing product:
- Go to WooCommerce > Products and find the product you want to duplicate.
- Hover over the product name in the product table. Several options appear: Edit, Quick Edit, Trash, View, and Duplicate.
- Click Duplicate.
WooCommerce creates a copy of the product as a draft. Open the duplicate to review and update its name, price, description, and any other details before publishing.

Deleting a product
↑ Back to topWhen you no longer need a product in your catalog, you can move it to the trash. Trashed products are not visible to customers and can be restored or permanently deleted later.
To move a product to the trash:
- Go to WooCommerce > Products and find the product you want to delete.
- Hover over the product name. Several options appear: Edit, Quick Edit, Trash, View, and Duplicate.
- Click Trash.
Restore or permanently delete trashed products
↑ Back to topProducts in the trash remain there until you restore or permanently delete them. To manage trashed products:
- Go to WooCommerce > Products.
- Click the Trash link at the top of the product table to view all trashed products.
- From this view, you can take any of the following actions:
- Restore individual products by hovering over a product and clicking Restore, or restore several at once using the Bulk actions dropdown.
- Permanently delete individual products by hovering over a product and clicking Delete permanently, or delete several at once using the Bulk actions dropdown.
- Empty the entire trash by clicking the Empty Trash button to permanently delete all trashed products at once.
Note: Permanently deleting a product removes it from your store and database. This action cannot be undone.
