Free WooCommerce extensions or plugins do not require an active subscription to receive updates. This page explains where free subscriptions appear in your dashboard and how to keep them updated.
Free subscriptions in your dashboard
↑ Back to topYou may see subscriptions for free extensions or plugins listed in your store’s WordPress admin dashboard at WooCommerce > Extensions > My Subscriptions. However, they do not have a toggle to activate a subscription.

Update free extensions
↑ Back to topTo update free extensions or plugins, use the Plugins screen in your WordPress admin dashboard. Follow the steps below to check for and apply available updates.
- Go to Plugins in your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Find the extension you want to update. If an update is available, a notice appears beneath the extension name.
- Click Update Now to apply the update.
You can also enable automatic updates for your free extensions so they stay current without manual intervention.
