Kymvex Inventory Alert helps WooCommerce store owners monitor inventory levels and sends real-time email notifications for low stock, out-of-stock, and restock events. It supports variable products, category-specific thresholds, role-based notifications, and smart restock links.

Installation and activation

To install:

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New.
  2. Click Upload Plugin and select kymvex-inventory-alert.zip.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Note on activation:

  • Ensure WooCommerce is installed and active.

Scheduled actions

The default schedule checks stock levels every hour. You can customize this under the Kymvex Inventory Alert settings page to run every 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, daily, or weekly.

Plugin settings

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.
  2. Click the ‘Kymvex Inv Alert’ tab.
  3. Set stock thresholds for products or categories.
  4. Assign roles to receive notifications.
  5. Customize notification frequency.

Important: Creating a page with the shortcode for restock form

  1. This is a important step so to make sure restock will work correctly.
  2. Go to Pages > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Enter a page title, such as “Restock Products.”
  4. Add the shortcode [kymvex_restock_form] to the page content area.
  5. Publish the page.

The page will now display a restock form that allows team members or suppliers to update inventory directly via email links.

Using the plugin

  1. Select roles to notify in the settings.
  2. Set stock thresholds for product categories.
  3. Save your changes.
  4. Check your email for low stock, out-of-stock, or restock alerts.
  5. Use the smart restock link in emails to restock products instantly.

  • Requires WooCommerce to be active.
  • WordPress cron system must be functional for scheduled actions.
  • Fully supports WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
