Cut Off Time for Next Day

In order to deliver the order on the next day the order was placed, you will be needing sufficient time to deliver the order once it is processed/packaged.

In Cut Off Time for Next Day Delivery option, set a time. The Orders placed after the time specified in this option will not be eligible for Next Day Delivery.

Note:

Please note that the Cut Off Time for Same Day Delivery, Cut Off Time for Next Day Delivery and Processing Time are Interconnected. Please refer to the example scenarios below for a better understanding of how these options work together.

Can be configured as per your preference. But, keep in mind while configuring, you don’t set a value which is very close to the end of the day For example: 11:00PM. This is to ensure that you have sufficient time to deliver the product by the end of the day i.e 11:59PM.

The end hour of the business day should be set as the cut off time.

Note:

•  A same cut off time should not be configured for both Same Day and Next Day.
• The Same Day Cut Off Tim should always occur first before the Next Day Cut Off Time.

Example of a Proper Configuration

Same Day Cut Off Time: 12:00PM

Next Day Cut Off Time: 09:00PM

Can be configured as per your preference. But, please ensure you have sufficient business hours left in the day to process the order. Also, please ensure that you have sufficient time to deliver the product by the end of the day i.e 11:59PM.

Example of a Proper Configuration

Business Day Hours: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM

Processing Time: 04 Hours

Same Day Cut Off Time: 10:00 AM

Working

As per the above configuration, if the order is placed even at the end of the same day cut off time i.e 09:59AM, there will be sufficient time within the business hours to process the order. The order will be ready for delivery by 02:00 PM. The order can be delivered by the end of the day.

Example of an Improper Configuration

Business Day Hours: 08:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Processing Time: 07 Hours

Same Day Cut Off Time: 03:00 PM

As per the above configuration, if the order is placed at 02:59 PM, the order will be processed by 10:00 PM. But, there won’t be sufficient time to deliver the order on the same day because there will only be 2 hours left for midnight.

The end hour of the business day should be set as the cut off time.

Note:

• A same cut off time should not be configured for both Same Day and Next Day.
• The Same Day Cut Off Tim should always occur first before the Next Day Cut Off Time.
• If the processing time is very long say 12 hours, then next day delivery is possible only if the processing time does not exceed the same day cut off time on the next day. If not, next day delivery is not possible.

Example of a Proper Configuration

Same Day Cut Off Time: 12:00PM

Next Day Cut Off Time: 09:00PM

Business Hours: 09:00 AM to 09:00PM

Processing Time: 2 Hours

Time of Purchase: 08:30 PM

Working:

Since the site needs only 2 hours for processing the order, the order will be ready for delivery by the next day at 10:30 AM, which is before the cut of time for the Same Day Delivery(12:00 PM). The order will be delivered on the same day which it was packed(Next Day from placing the order).

Example of an Improper Configuration

Same Day Cut Off Time: 03: 00 PM

Processing Time: 11 Hours

Business Hours: 09:00 AM to 09:00PM

Time of Purchase: 03: 00 PM

Working

The processing time of 11 hours is split such that 6 Hours on the same day and 5 hours the next day. As per the Business Hours, the 5^th hour of processing time on the next day comes at 03:00PM. Since the order is crossing the Same Day Cut Off Time on the day of delivery, delivery on that day is not possible.
