Gift Cards database tables

Gift Cards stores gift card records and activity in three database tables. Use this reference when investigating a missing table with a developer or hosting provider.

Note:

This is a Developer level doc. If you are unfamiliar working with code and resolving potential conflicts, we recommend you work with a Woo Agency Partner for larger projects, or find a WooCommerce developer on Codeable for smaller customizations. We are unable to provide support for customizations under our Support Policy.

Each table name begins with the site’s database prefix. For example, if the prefix is wp_, the gift card table is named wp_woocommerce_gc_cards.

  • woocommerce_gc_cards: Gift card records.
  • woocommerce_gc_cardsmeta: Additional metadata associated with gift cards.
  • woocommerce_gc_activity: Gift card activity records.

If gift card codes are not being created, check Tools > Site Health for a Gift Cards table warning. Ask your hosting provider to check database permissions, and contact Woo support if you need help. Don’t delete or modify these tables as a troubleshooting step.
