This documentation explains how you can enable your customers to send gift coupons to someone else.
This feature allows your customers to share discounts, store credits and gift vouchers with their friends and family, enhancing the shopping experience and promoting your store.
How to enable sending gift cards to someone else
↑ Back to top- Navigate to your WordPress admin panel.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings.
- Navigate to the Smart Coupons tab.
- Scroll down to find the “Allow sending of coupons to others” setting.
- Enable the “Allow the buyer to send coupons to someone else” option.
- Save changes.
That’s it!
Once enabled, your customers need to purchase the gift cards and proceed to the checkout page.
On the checkout page, they will see the ‘Send Coupons to’ option, wherein they need to select the ‘Gift to someone else’ option.
Once selected, your customers can deliver the gift cards/store credits now or schedule them for later. Here’s how.
Your customers can also send the gift cards to different people with a personalized message.
Note: The “Send to different people” option will only appear when the order is about to send gift cards in multiple quantities.
