Specific Dates

You can optionally charge a Fee for delivering orders on certain dates using the Specific Dates option.

When to Use Specific Dates?

Consider a scenario where you are offering delivery on your site from from Monday – Saturday. But, on a special occasion like say Mother’s Day, you are willing to deliver orders on Sunday. Using Specific Dates feature, it is possible. You can also optionally charge a fee for delivering orders on the specified date(s).

Specific Dates can be setup either at Global Level, Rule Level or at both places.

The settings for the Specific Dates can be found at Delivery and Pickup Scheduler > Specific Dates.

Name: Add a Name to the Specific Date. This Name will not be visible to the users.

Applicable for: In this option, select Delivery only.

Date: Enter the date on which you wish to charge an additional fee for delivery.

Price: Enter the amount which the user will have to pay for getting the delivery on the Specific Date. If left empty, the user will not be charged a fee.

Maximum Number of Orders: Enter the number of orders which can be delivered on the Specific Date.

Specific Date Rule Level Configuration

The settings for the Specific Dates at Rule Level is available at Specific Dates section inside each Rule.

To setup Specific Dates at Rule Level, in the the Specific Dates Based on option, set the value as Rule Level.

Click on the Add New Button to create a Specific Date.

Name: Add a Name to the Specific Date. This Name will not be visible to the users.

Applicable for: In this option, select Delivery only.

Date: Enter the date on which you wish to charge an additional fee for delivery.

Price: Enter the amount which the user will have to pay for getting the delivery on the Specific Date. If left empty, the user will not be charged a fee.

Maximum Number of Orders: Enter the number of orders which can be delivered on the Specific Date.

Order Delivery Estimate without a Specific Date Configuration

For the purpose of this example, All Saturdays and Sundays are set as a Holiday and the user is trying to place an order on April 12 2025. Because of the holidays(April 12 2025 – April 13 205), the order delivery estimate is extended delivery estimate is displayed as (April 14 2025 and April 15 2025 ).

For the purpose of this example, All Saturdays and Sundays are set as a Holiday. But, Specific Date(s) are configured on April 12 2025 and April 13 2025. Because of the Specific Date, the user is eligible to receive the order even though it is a holiday.
