Starting from WooCommerce Payments v2.8.0, you can preview a new payment experience with additional payment methods. This experience will become the default in future.
During this time, you can safely test the new checkout and make improvements to your site before we roll out the experience in the coming months. When you enable it, you can start collecting payments via:
- giropay
- Sofort
- iDeal
- P24
- Bancontact
- EPS
- SEPA (closed beta)
- BECS Direct Debit (closed beta)
More payment methods coming in the future.
The new checkout experience ↑ Back to top
The new payment experience allows your customers to select their preferred payment method and securely checkout on your site.
Only the payment methods that are relevant to your customer’s location and currency are displayed.

How to enable it ↑ Back to top
- Go to Payments > Settings
- Click Enable in your store in the Payments accepted on checkout section

- On the new screen, select additional payment methods
- Click Add payment methods

To add additional payment methods:
- Go to Payments > Settings
- Ensure you have enabled the new experience
- Click Add payment method in the Payments accepted on checkout section
- Select one or more of the payment methods
- Click Save settings at the bottom of the page
How to remove payment methods ↑ Back to top
- Go to Payments > Settings
- In the Payments accepted on checkout section, you will see the list of payment methods previously added
- Click the trash icon next to the payment method to remove it from checkout
- Click Save settings at the bottom of the page
How to leave feedback ↑ Back to top
The new experience will be enabled by default for all stores later in the year. To provide the WooCommerce team with feedback on the new experience to help influence the future of the product:
- Go to Payments > Settings
- Click the 3-dot hamburger menu in the Payments accepted on checkout section
- Select Provide Feedback
- Fill out the one question survey
- Click Send Feedback
How to revert to the old experience ↑ Back to top
- Go to Payments > Settings
- Click the 3-dot hamburger menu in the Payments accepted on checkout section
- Select Disable
- Confirm your choice by clicking Disable

The payment methods you add through the settings will only appear at checkout if they’re relevant to your customer’s locale.
For this reason, feel free to add all the methods you want to support – they will be displayed conditionally so that they won’t clutter the checkout.
