Install WooCommerce AI and connect your store and user account to WordPress.com so you can use the assistant in your WordPress admin.
Before you start
↑ Back to topYou need a WordPress.com account and an administrator account for your store. WooCommerce must be installed and active. WooCommerce AI 0.8.0 requires WordPress 7.1 or later, WooCommerce 11.0 or later, and PHP 7.4 or later.
Installation
↑ Back to topTo start using a product from WooCommerce.com, you can use the โAdd to storeโ functionality on the order confirmation page or the My subscriptions section in your account.
- Navigate to My subscriptions.
- Find the Add to store button next to the product youโre planning to install.
- Follow the instructions on the screen, and the product will be automatically added to your store.

Connect to WordPress.com
↑ Back to top- In your storeโs WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce > Settings > WooCommerce AI.
- If the connection prompt appears, select its connection button and sign in to WordPress.com. Authorize the connection for your store and your user account.
- Return to the settings page and confirm that the connection prompt no longer blocks the feature controls.
- Turn on Enable AI assistant if it is off. Feature settings save automatically.
Both the site and the user who opens the assistant need a WordPress.com connection. A site that is already connected can still require the current user to sign in and authorize their own connection.
Check the assistant
↑ Back to top- Open the assistant from the sparkle control in the WordPress admin toolbar. It also opens once after activation.
- Ask a read-only question, such as โHow many orders did my store receive this week?โ
- Confirm that the assistant returns an answer rather than another connection prompt. Check the reporting dates before using the result.
If setup does not finish
↑ Back to topIf the feature controls remain unavailable, return to the connection flow and check that both the store and the current user are connected. If WooCommerce AI reports that WooCommerce is missing, install or activate WooCommerce first. If the assistant opens but cannot complete a task, record the displayed error and the plugin version when contacting Woo support.
Disconnecting the store from WordPress.com also affects other plugins that share its Jetpack connection. Check those integrations before disconnecting.
