After properly installing and activating, you can start adding desired fields to the products you want. For that, follow the steps below:

Adding extra options to WooCommerce products

First, go to the Product Options Plugin and click on Create Options. You will see a dummy product page. Now click on the plus icon, and you will see all 25+ available product options. Click or drag and drop the option that you want to add. For instance, let’s add a text input field.

Configuring options

Once you add an option, its configuration settings will appear on the left side. So you can customize it as per your requirements. As we have added the text field, we have the following customization options:

  • Add a title text or disable it.
  • Make the field required.
  • Add a help text.
  • Add additional charges, if required.
  • Minimum and maximum character limit.
  • Placeholder text.
  • And the style settings.

If you add multiple options, click the option you want to customize, and its customization settings will appear on the left side.

Making a field conditional

You can also make a field conditional based on another field. For example, you have added two fields, A and B, and want to show or hide field A only after a customer selects an option in field B.

Since we have added a text field, let’s add a Checkbox field with two options: Yes and No. And make the text field conditional: it will be hidden by default and displayed when someone selects the Yes option in the checkbox field. For that:

  1. Open the settings panel of the Text Field.
  2. Click on the Conditional Logic tab.
  3. Enable the toggle to make the field conditional.
  4. Select a visibility option: Show or Hide.
  5. Choose a condition-matching option between ‘Any’ and ‘And’.
  6. Click on the Add New button.
  7. Select the Checkbox Field.
  8. And finally, select the Yes option.

Assigning options to products

You can assign the configured options to all products, categories, specific products, specific brands or tags. For that:

  1. Click on the product selection dropdown.
  2. Select all or specific options.
  3. Use the search bar to select specific products, categories, tags or brands.
