Advanced Product Comparison

Store owners can showcase popular product matchups on a dedicated comparison page, guiding customers toward informed decisions. Perfect for stores with technical products, competitive item lines, or premium merchandise, the tool reduces buyer hesitation while highlighting your products’ unique advantages.

1. Download the .zip File for Advanced Product Comparison for WooCommerce.
2. Go to: WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New to upload the le you downloaded with Choose File.
3. Now, Install and Activate the extension.

Go to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison. Here, you will find all the configuration settings for the Advanced Product Comparison plugin.

To configure the general settings, go to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison, then click on Settings tab. Here, you can adjust the following options:

1. Comparison Page Title: Set a title for the product comparison page.
2. Display Compare Button on Product Page: Show a “Compare” button on individual product pages for easy comparison.
3. Display Compare Button on Product Listings: Add a “Compare” button to product category and listing pages.
4. Automatically Open Comparison Widget: Automatically open the comparison popup when a product is added.
5. Enable Sticky Comparison Bar: Keep the comparison bar fixed at the bottom of the screen for easy access.
6. Enable Floating Comparison Widget: Display a floating comparison widget for quick product comparisons.

7. Choose Widget Position: Set the position Left or Right
8. Widget Icon: Upload an icon for the floating comparison widget.
9. Custom Shortcode:  Here you can generate a custom shortcode to display the comparison on different pages.

• Add Product: Select specific products to generate a comparison shortcode.
• Copy/Paste Your Shortcode: Use the shortcode to display selected product comparisons on other pages.

Go to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison > and click on the Comparison Table. Here you can adjust the following settings for comparison table.

1. Displayed Attributes: Select which default attributes (e.g., size, color, material) should appear in the comparison table
2. Product Details to Show: Choose the product information to display in the comparison table, including:
   • Product Thumbnail – Show a small preview image of the product
   • Product Name – Display the name of the product
   • Product Price – Show the product’s price for easy comparison
   • Stock Status – Indicate whether the product is in stock or out of stock
   • Product Weight – Display the weight of the product (useful for shipping comparisons)
   • Reviews – Show customer ratings or review counts to assess popularity
   • Short Description – Include a Short description of the product
   • Add to Cart Option – Allow users to add products to cart directly from the comparison table
3. Use Full Description: Toggle between displaying the short description or the full detailed description of the product
4. Emphasize Differences: Highlight differences between compared products by applying a distinct color (e.g., green) to the relevant rows for better visibility
5. Enable Clear All Button: Add a “Clear All” button to quickly remove all selected products from the comparison page or popup
6. Comparison Table Title: Set a custom title for the comparison table (e.g., “Add to Compare”)
7. Comparison Table Image: Upload a custom image (e.g., a banner or logo) to be displayed within the comparison table
8. Clear All Button Label: Customize the text of the “Clear All” button (e.g., “Reset Comparison” or “Remove All”)
9. Clear All Button Position: Choose where the “Clear All” button appears
   • Before Comparison Table
   • After Comparison Table  
10. Max Products for Comparison: Set the maximum number of products a user can compare at once (e.g., 2 or 3 to avoid clutter)

To access quick share settings, Navigate to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison > and click on the Quick Share. Here, you will find these settings.

1. Enable Quick Share: Activate this feature to let users easily share their product comparisons with others via social media or messaging platforms.
2. Display Quick Share In: Choose where the Quick Share functionality appears:
   • Comparison Page: Show sharing options directly on the comparison table page
   • Widget: Display in a dedicated sharing widget popup
   • Both: Enable sharing in both Comparison Page and Popup for maximum visibility
3. Select Social Platforms: Choose which platforms will be available for sharing comparisons:
   • Facebook
   • Twitter/X
   • Pinterest
   • WhatsApp
   • Telegram
4. Quick Share Message: Customize the default text that appears when users share their product comparison (e.g., “Check out these products I compared!”).

To enable the Product Slider, Navigate to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison > and click on the Product Sider. Here, you will find these settings:

1. Enable Product Slider: Enable or disable the product comparison slider for a better viewing experience
2. Slider Title: Set a custom heading for your product slider (e.g., “Compare These Items”)
3. Display Location: Choose where to show the product slider:
   1. Comparison Page – Displays directly on the comparison interface  
   2. Widget Popup – Shows in a dedicated popup window
   3. Both Locations – Enables slider on both page and popup for optimal visibility
4. Autoplay: Enable automatic scrolling through comparison items
5. Navigation Controls: Show/hide arrow buttons for manual slider navigation

Predefine specific product comparisons and showcase them on the comparison landing page. 

To add Popular Comparisons, Navigate to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison > and click on the Popular Comparisons. Here, you will find these settings:

1. Enable Popular Comparisons: Enable the display of popular product comparisons on the comparison page.  
2. Section Title: Set a title for the section, such as “Popular Comparisons”, “Customers Also Compared”, or “Featured Product Matchups”  
3. Add Comparison: Search and select Product 1 and Product 2 for comparison. Multiple comparisons can be configured, but each should only include two products. You can also remove any of the comparisons using the ‘Remove’ button.

To Access Print Comparison Options, Navigate to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison > and click on the Print Comparison. Here, you will find these settings:

1. Enable Print Feature: Activate to allow customers to print product comparisons directly from either the popup widget or comparison page.
2. Print Button Label: Set custom text (e.g., “Print This Comparison”)  
3. Print Button Position: Choose placement:
   • Above Comparison Table
   • Below Comparison Table
4. Include Site Logo: Brand printed comparisons with your logo  
5. Custom Print CSS: Add tailored styling for optimal print layout

Enable category-based comparisons on the comparison landing page, allowing users to Quickly Select and Compare products from the drop-down menu.
To Access these settings, Navigate to WooCommerce > Advanced Product Comparison > and click on the Category Comparison. Here, you will find these settings:

Frontend Display Options:

• Category filter dropdown: Choose any category
• Include product selection dropdown: Select products to compare
• Display comparison CTA button

1. Enable Category Comparison: Turn this on to allow customers to compare products from the same category directly on your comparison page
2. Comparison Section Title: Set a descriptive heading (e.g., “Compare Similar Products”, “Head-to-Head Comparison”)
3. Maximum Products to Compare: Restrict the number of comparable products (recommended: 2-3 for optimal readability)
4. Shortcode: Add Category ID (e.g.,3 etc. and insert the copied code in any page or post to display the comparison feature

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced Product Comparison. Here, you will find all the settings for the Advanced Product Comparison plugin.

General: Click the General tab and set the following:

1. Display Format:
   •    Text Link: Minimalist text-based “Add to Compare” option
   •    Styled Button: Visually prominent comparison button (recommended for better CTR)
2. Comparison Button Label: Customize the CTA (e.g., “Compare This”, “Add to Comparison”)
3. Already Added Notification: Set the message when products are in comparison (e.g., “Already Added! View Comparison”)
4. Comparison Page: Select your designated comparison page
   •  Must contain shortcode: `[exppc_product_comparison_table]`
   •  Pro Tip: Choose a dedicated, simple page for optimal performance
5. Excluded Categories from Comparison: Select categories where comparison functionality will be hidden. (Note: Excluded categories can still appear in Popular Comparisons as per pre-selection in Popular Comparisons section).

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced Product Comparison > and then Customization.

In this section, you can customize the buttons color, font, background color and much more.

Compare Button: You have the option to customize the compare button:

1. Text Color

Table Options: Customize the comparison table:

1. Print Button Text Color
2. Print Button Background Color

Title Color Options: Set font color of each Title
