AgenticFuel

AgenticFuel for WooCommerce shows how AI shopping assistants see your catalog, helps you fix the product data they rely on, and measures how often their answers name your store. This guide covers installation, the first run, and the questions merchants ask most.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.5 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, and PHP 7.4 or later.
  • An API key from at least one AI provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, or Perplexity. The extension does not include a shared key; calls are made with your key and billed by the provider.
  • Outbound HTTPS from your server to the AI providers you use and to the AgenticFuel taxonomy service (taxonomy-service.copycon.app).
  • A writable uploads folder, used for the product feed file. Everything else works without it.

Installation

  1. Download the extension from your WooCommerce.com account (My Account → Downloads).
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the downloaded zip file, and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate. The extension creates its own database tables on activation.
  4. Open WooCommerce → AgenticFuel. The tabs at the top of every AgenticFuel page lead to Usage Log, Settings, Language, and Help.

First run

  1. Add an API key. Go to AgenticFuel → Settings → API keys, paste a key for at least one provider, and save. The status next to the key shows whether the provider accepted it.
  2. Set a budget. In Settings → Monthly AI budget, enter the most you want to spend per month. Every AI call is checked against it before it is made. You can also cap each provider separately.
  3. Choose models. Pick a quality preset to apply the recommended model to every task, or choose a provider and model per task with My own keys and routing. The settings show the estimated cost per enriched product.
  4. Run the catalog scan. Open AI Actions → Catalog Scan and click Run Scan. The scan runs in the background; you can leave the page.
  5. Enrich products. Open AI Enrichment, start enrichment for the products that need it, then review each suggestion and apply it. Nothing is written to a product until you apply it.
  6. Turn on visibility tracking (optional). Open AI Visibility and click Enable AI Visibility to start the setup. Measurements ask AI assistants about your store, so this step makes sense once the store is live.
  7. Publish the product feed (optional). Open Export to LLM, click Turn on, and choose how often the store is checked for changes.
The product taxonomy used by enrichment downloads automatically a minute after activation. Its status is shown in Settings → Product taxonomy. No account or token is needed.

Updating

Update from Plugins or Dashboard → Updates like any extension from WooCommerce.com. Database changes run automatically on the first page load after the update. Your settings, scans, suggestions, and measurements are kept.

Uninstalling

Deactivate the extension, then delete it from Plugins. Deleting removes all AgenticFuel database tables and settings. Changes you applied to products stay in your products. The feed file in the agenticfuel folder inside your uploads folder is left for you to remove.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own API key?

Yes. The extension calls the provider directly with your key, the provider bills you, and the Usage Log shows every call with its price.

How much will AI calls cost?

It depends on your catalog size and the models you choose. Settings shows the estimated cost per enriched product for each preset, and the monthly budget stops calls when it is reached.

Will it change my products without asking?

No. Suggestions are stored separately and written to a product only when you apply them. Every applied change keeps a snapshot, so you can roll it back.

Does my store need to be public?

The catalog scan, enrichment, knowledge base, structured data, and feed work on a private or staging store. Visibility measurement and Competitor Radar ask AI assistants about your brand, so their results are meaningful only for a live store.

Where is the product feed?

Once you turn the feed on, Export to LLM shows its address. The file name contains a random token that keeps the address private; share it only with the platform that reads it. While the feed is off, nothing is built or published.

Which languages does the interface support?

English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, and Russian. Each user picks a language on the Language tab; it does not change your store’s language.

Troubleshooting

“Key rejected” or “No credits” next to an API key

The provider refused the key or the account has no balance. Check the key and the billing status in your provider account, then save the key again.

The scan or enrichment does not progress

Background jobs run through Action Scheduler. Open WooCommerce → Status → Scheduled Actions and search for agfuel to see whether the jobs are pending or failed. On sites where WP-Cron is disabled, make sure a server cron job calls it.

The product taxonomy shows as not synced

Check that your server can reach taxonomy-service.copycon.app over HTTPS. While the taxonomy is empty, a failed sync retries automatically every 15 minutes, so it fills in once the connection works. If it stays empty, contact support.

AI calls stopped

The monthly budget or a provider cap was reached. Open Usage Log to see this month’s spending, and raise the limit in Settings if needed.

Support

Open a ticket from your WooCommerce.com account under Support. Include your WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP versions, the AgenticFuel version, and, for AI errors, the matching entry from the Usage Log.
