The Clear and Restore Cart plugin for WooCommerce allows users to easily clear their shopping cart with a single click and optionally restore previously cleared carts. This enhances the shopping experience by providing more control and flexibility over cart management.
Installation
↑ Back to topThe simplest way to start using a product from WooCommerce.com is to use the “Add to store” functionality on the order confirmation page or the My subscriptions section in your account.
- Navigate to My subscriptions.
- Find the Add to store button next to the product you’re planning to install.
- Follow the instructions on the screen, and the product will be automatically added to your store.

Setup and Configuration

WooCommerce > Settings > Clear and Restore Cart
General Settings
↑ Back to topActivate Clear Cart: Enable or disable the clear cart functionality.
Cart Button Position: Choose where the clear cart button appears on the cart page:
- After Cart Table
- Before Cart
- After Cart
- After Cart Total
Checkout Button Position: Choose where the button appears on the checkout page:
- After Order Summary
- After Payment Option
Show on Cart Page: Toggle to show or hide the clear cart button on the cart page.
Show on Checkout Page: Toggle to show or hide the clear cart button on the checkout page.
Confirmation: Enable a confirmation dialog before clearing the cart.
Clear Cart Session: Automatically clear the cart after a set period of inactivity.
Session Time Unit: Select the time unit for the session timeout:
- Hours
- Days
Enter Hours / Days: Input the number of hours or days for cart timeout.
Redirection After Clearing Cart: Select the page users will be redirected to after clearing the cart:
- Shop Page
- Custom URL
Custom Redirect URL: If you choose “Custom URL”, enter the URL (e.g., https://www.example.com/cart).
Number of Carts to Keep in History: Set how many cleared carts to store in history for restoration.
Design Settings
↑ Back to topThe Design Settings tab allows you to customize the appearance of the Clear Cart button to match your website’s branding and layout.
Clear Cart Button Text: Enter the text that will appear on the Clear Cart button.
Button Background Color: Choose the background color of the Clear Cart button.
Button Text Color: Select the text color for the button to ensure readability.
Button Width (px): Specify the width of the button in pixels.
Button Height (px): Specify the height of the button in pixels.
