- WooCommerce 5.0.0+
Upload and Activation
- Download the easy-product-description-in-shop.zip file from your account.
- Go to: WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New and Upload Plugin. Choose File with the file you downloaded.
- Install Now and Activate Plugin.
Setup and Configuration

Navigate to: WooCommerce > Settings > Product Description in Shop,
- Enable Allow Product Description in Shop option to start adding the product description in shop, category and other listing pages.
- To limit the characters of the description in the shop page then use the option Limit Number of Characters.
- Site Admin can allow Tooltip to read the product description optionally on their shop page when the Allow Tooltip option is enabled.
- Site Admin can choose the respective content on their shop page, those content options are Product Short Description, Product Description and Loop Description.
- Site Admin can choose their desired shop page positions in the dropdown given to display the product description.
- To hide the product description for the related products then enable the option Hide Description for Related Products.
- To hide the product description for the upsell products then enable the option Hide Description for Upsell Products.
- To hide the product description in the cross-sell products then enable the option Hide Description for Cross-sell Products.
- To hide the product description for the out of stock products then enable the option Hide Description When Product is Out of Stock.
- To restrict the product descriptions for respective user roles then use the option Exclude User Roles.
- To include or exclude the product descriptions for the selected products then use the options Products and Exclude Products.
- To include or exclude the product descriptions for the selected product categories then use the options Products and Exclude Product Categories.
- To include or exclude the product descriptions for the selected product tags then use the options Products and Exclude Product Tags.
- Site Admin can optionally display the product description anywhere on their store using the shortcode [asp_pds_product_desc_in_shop product_id=”Enter your Product ID here”].
