The simplest method to install the Product Email Segmentation extension is to connect your store to WooCommerce.com and utilize the automatic installer feature.
Before attempting to install the Product Email Segmentation extension, we recommend verifying whether it has already been installed. To confirm if the extension is already present, follow these steps:

1. Access your WooCommerce site’s administrator dashboard.
2. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
3. Scan through the list to determine if Product Email Segmentation is already installed.
4. Proceed with the following instructions if the extension is not yet installed.

You can download the extension and manually upload it to your WordPress site, or connect your store to WooCommerce.com and use the automatic installer. Below are instructions for both methods.

• Using the Automatic Installer:
  1. Click the Add to Store button.
  2. You will be prompted to enter your store URL if you haven’t connected to a site yet.
  3. You will then be asked to connect this site to WooCommerce.com.
  4. Once connected, your Product Email Segmentation extension will begin installing immediately on your site.

• Manually Install the Product Email Segmentation Extension

After completing your purchase of the Product Email Segmentation extension, a download link will be displayed on the Order Received page, and you will receive an email notification with a download link. You can also download the extension from your WooCommerce account at any time.

1. Visit your account page on WooCommerce.com and navigate to My Subscriptions.
2. Click the three dots next to Product Email Segmentation, then choose Download extension.
3. The extension will download in a .zip format.
4. Log into your WordPress site’s admin dashboard.
5. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
6. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the screen.
7. Choose the .zip file from your local filesystem.
8. Click the Install Now button.
9. Upon completion of the installation, you’ll see “Plugin installed successfully.” Click the Activate Plugin button.

The plugin’s settings are accessible under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails -> Email Segments.

• Enable Email Segments: Check this box to activate the plugin’s functionality.
• Original Email: Configure the behavior of the original email using this setting. This setting does not apply to emails sent to Customers.
  • Send the original email including all products: This option preserves the original email without modifications, meaning any configured segment will be sent alongside the original email.
  • Send the original email excluding segment products: Select this option to remove products already sent in email segments from the original email (e.g., if an order contains products A, B, and C, and a segment exists for product C, the original email will only contain products A and B).
  • Do not send the original email: Choose this option if you want to prevent sending the original email. Ensure you have properly configured email segments to avoid losing email notification data.

Begin setting up your email segments by clicking Add Email Segment.

• Segment Name: Assign a descriptive and meaningful name to your segment.
• Recipient(s): Specify the list of recipients (comma-separated) who will receive this segment. By default, this field is set to the admin’s email address.
• Emails: Select which WooCommerce Emails will be impacted by this segment. If this field is left empty, all emails will be affected by default.
• Products/Excluded Products: Manually select the specific products to be included or excluded from this segment.
• Product Categories/Excluded Product Categories: Choose the product categories to be included or excluded from this segment.
• Exclusion Precedence: Exclusions take priority over inclusions. The segment first selects inclusions and then filters out the exclusions.
