Setting Up Store Locations & Configuring Availability
↑ Back to topTo begin using Location Product Availability for WooCommerce, follow these steps:
- Accessing Plugin Settings
Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Location Product Availability. This is where you can manage store locations and configure the plugin’s frontend behavior.
2. Adding Store Locations
In the plugin settings, click “Add New Location” to create a physical store. Each store can later be tied to one or more products to indicate availability.

3. Configuring Frontend Settings
Within the same settings page, you can adjust the following options:
- Country Code: Used to calculate distance between the customer’s ZIP/postal code and store locations.
- Distance Unit: Choose between kilometers or miles.
- Button Text: Customize the label of the “Find Location” button that appears on product pages.
- Global vs. Per-Product Settings: Decide whether to apply location availability site-wide or on individual products.
- If global availability is enabled, all products will display the store finder unless specifically excluded.
- If global availability is disabled, only products with manually assigned locations will display the store finder.

5. Assigning Locations to Products
To assign locations to a product:
- Open the product edit screen in WooCommerce.
- Scroll to the Location Product Availability section.
- Select the locations where the product is in stock.

When a customer enters their ZIP/postal code on the product page, nearby stores with the product in stock will be displayed based on the configured distance, ranking them from closest to farthest.
