Create your first Rental Product
↑ Back to topTo create a Rental Product:
- Go to Products > All Products and click to either add or edit an existing product.
- On the Product data meta box, click to set one of the following options for a product:
- Rental only: Choose this option if you want to offer the product for rental only.
- Rental or purchase: Choose this option if you want to offer both the option to rent or sell this product.
- Use the Rental product data and Product data metaboxes to set all the rental options required, like pricing, availability, and more:


Note: For variable products, there are additional rental options available when editing each variation.
3. Click to Publish or Update the product to make it available for rental in your store.
Managing your rental product
↑ Back to topNow that you have configured your first rental products for your store, we’ll walk you through some helpful usage cases for our plugin:
- Rental Products for WooCommerce adds rental stock/price in the columns on the Products > All Products page in your store’s WordPress admin dashboard.
- You can also filter the product list by rentals.
- When a customer orders rental products, the order will show an – Includes rentals suffix next to the order name.
- In the WooCommerce > Orders list, you can also filter the orders list by Order including/excluding rentals.
- For details on how to manage or edit orders with rentals, read the information in the Order & Inventory Management document.
- The Rentals menu gives you access to a list of sub-menus:
