Save, Share Cart & Get Discount – Documentation

Save, Share Cart & Get Discounts for WooCommerce allows customers to save, share, and print their shopping carts for future use. Meanwhile, store owners can increase sales by offering exclusive discounts on saved carts, turning potential interest into action and encouraging more purchases.

1. Download the .zip file for Save, Share Cart & Get Discount for WooCommerce.
2. Go to: WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New to upload the file you downloaded with Choose File
3. Now, Install and Activate the extension.

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart.

Here, you will find all the configuration settings for Save, Share Cart & Get Discounts plugin.

To configure the general settings, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart, then click on General. Here, you can adjust the following options:

1. Automatically Empty Cart: Automatically clear the cart once the user saves the cart
2. Customize Link: Add customize link for the Share Cart & Save Cart URL as per your requirement
3. Enable Save Button: Enable save  cart button for specific User Roles
4. Save Button Position (Cart Template/Block): Allow the Save Cart button to be displayed in various positions, such as:
   • After the Cart Table
   • Before the Cart Table
   • After the Checkout Button
   • Before the Checkout Button
5. Save Button Position (Shortcode): Use the shortcode to place the Save Cart button on cart page.
6. Enable Share Button: Enable Share button for different User Role.
7. Share Button Position (Cart Template/Block): Allow the Share Cart button to be displayed in various positions,  such as:
   • After the Cart Table
   • Before the Cart Table
   • After the Checkout Button
   • Before the Checkout Button
8. Share Button Position (Shortcode): Use the shortcode to place the Share Cart button on cart page.

1. Enable Print Button: Enable Print button for different User Role
2. Print Button Position (Cart Template/Block): Print the Cart contents. Print Cart button can be displayed in various positions, such as:
   • After the Cart Table
   • Before the Cart Table
   • After the Checkout Button
   • Before the Checkout Button
3. Print Button Position (Shortcode): Use the shortcode to place the Print Cart button on cart page.
4. Enable Empty Cart Button: Enable Cart button for different User Role.
5. Empty Cart Button Position (Cart Template/Block): Display Empty Cart button to empty the Cart in a single click. Display Empty Cart button in various positions, such as:
   • After the Cart Table
   • Before the Cart Table
   • After the Checkout Button
   • Before the Checkout Button
6. Empty Cart Button Position (Shortcode): Use the shortcode to place the Empty Cart button on cart page.

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart, then click on Popup.

Here, you can customize the share cart popup according to your store theme and design.

1. Popup Text Color: Choose the color for the text in your popup.
2. Popup Background Color: Set the background color for your popup.
3. Button Text Color: Pick a color for your button text.
4. Button Background Color: Select a background color for your button.
5. Overlay Color: Choose the color for the overlay behind the popup.
6. Overlay Opacity: Adjust the transparency of the overlay.

Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart > then click on Share Cart Settings to:

1. Select Enabled Platforms: Choose specific Social Media Platforms for customer cart sharing.
2. Customize Platform Labels: Define unique display Names for each sharing option.
3. Enable/Disable Link Sharing: Enable or disable the ability to Copy a cart link.
4. Enable/Disable Printing Option: Enable or disable the ability to Print the cart.
5. Enable/Disable Email Sharing: Enable or disable cart sharing via Email

Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart > then click on Button Customization to:

Here, you can set the text and background colors for Save, Share, Print, and Empty Cart Buttons.

Email Settings 

Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart > then click on Email Settings to:

Here you can configure the appearance of your email notifications.

1. Email Header Background Color: Choose the background color for your email header
2. Email Header Text Color: Set the color of the text in your email header
3. Email Body Color: Select the color for the body text of your email
4. Email Footer Background Color: Pick the background color for the email footer
5. Email Footer Text Color: Choose the color for the text in your email footer
6. Cart Button Background Color: Set the background color for the cart button
7. Cart Button Text Color: Choose the color for the text on the cart button
8. Email Template Border Color: Pick the border color for your email template

Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Save & Share Cart > then click on Wishlist

Here you will find the settings for wishlist to let customers easily save their favorite products.

1. Display Type: Choose how you’d like the wishlist to appear for users:
   • Button: Show a clear, clickable button for wishlist access
   • Icon: Use a sleek icon for a minimalistic approach
   • Both (Icon & Button): Combine both the button and icon for maximum visibility and ease of use
2. Enable Wishlist: Enable the wishlist feature for specific user roles.

To view and manage saved carts, navigate to WooCommerce > Save & Share Cart.

1. Saved Cart Grid: Here, you can view all customer-saved carts in an organized grid format.
2. Search Cart: Use this option to easily search for a specific saved cart.
3. Bulk Delete: Select Carts and delete in bulk.

Click the Edit button of any Saved Cart in the Saved Carts Grid and apply discount.

1. Discount: Check to Enable Discount.
2. Discount Type: Choose the type of discount you’d like to apply:
   • Percentage
   • Fixed Amount
3. Discount Amount: Set the exact discount value that will be applied to the cart.
4. Expiry Date: Select the expiry date for the discount offer, the discount will be automatically expired on the specified date.
5. Send Discount Email: Automatically send a discount email to your customers, letting them know about their exclusive offer. (Be sure to configure the discount email template for a seamless experience!).
6. Click on Update.

To configure the Discount Email, navigate to WooCommerce > Save & Share Cart > Click on Email > Scroll Down.

In this section, you can configure and draft your discount email. Using the editor, you can upload images and customize the text to suit your needs. 

1. From Email: Enter the email address from which you want to send email notifications
2. Email Subject: Set the subject line for the email
3. Cart Button: Configure the call-to-action button within discount notification emails by specifying custom button text (e.g., ‘Claim Discount Now’). Upon clicking this button, recipients will be directed to their pre-discounted cart for immediate checkout.
4. Email Header Text: Add a header text to make the email more engaging.
5. Email Footer Text: Customize the footer by adding text, images, and URLs.

In this section, you can configure and draft your Share Cart email. Using the editor, you can upload images and customize the text to suit your needs. 

1. From Email: Enter the email address from which you want to send email notifications
2. Email Subject: Set the subject line for the email
3. Cart Button: Specify the call-to-action button text that will appear in the email
4. Email Header Text: Add a header text to make the email more engaging
5. Email Footer Text: Customize the footer by adding text, images, and URLs

To configure the Print Cart, navigate to WooCommerce > Save & Share Cart > Click on Print Cart.

Here, you can customize the print cart layout with brand-specific styling for both saved and current cart items.

1. Header Content: Add content to be displayed at the top of the printed page. You can include images and text using the editor.
2. Footer Content: Add content to be displayed at the bottom of the printed page. Customize it with images and text via the editor.
3. Custom CSS Style: Use custom CSS to style the print layout and ensure it matches your store’s design.

Navigate to WooCommerce > Save & Share Cart > Click on Cart Expiry.

Here you can configure saved & share cart links expiry settings. You can set a specific time for the cart URL to expire, ensuring that the link becomes inaccessible once expired.
