Essential Trust Badges & Icons

Trust Badges and Icons for WooCommerce lets you create reusable widgets — trust badges, feature icon rows, checkout reassurance strips, coupon reminders, and promotional banners — and place them across your product, cart, and checkout pages.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or later
  • WooCommerce 8.7.1 or later
  • PHP 8.1 or later

Installation

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New and upload the plugin ZIP file, or upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/ via FTP.
  2. Activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be installed and active.
  3. Go to WooCommerce > Trust Badges to start creating widgets.

Creating your first widget

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Trust Badges and click Add New.
  2. Choose one of the built-in templates (see below). The template pre-fills content and design, and everything can be changed afterwards.
  3. Edit the content items — titles, text, icons or images, links, call-to-action labels, and coupon codes, depending on the template.
  4. Adjust the design. All changes are shown instantly in the live preview.
  5. Choose one or more placements so the widget appears automatically, or plan to insert it manually with the block or shortcode.
  6. Optionally set targeting rules to control who sees the widget and when.
  7. Save. The widget is live immediately on any enabled placement.

Templates

Eight templates are included. A template is a starting point — after creating the widget you can freely change its content and design.

  • Feature icons row — three or more feature icons below product actions (free shipping, guarantees, support).
  • Secure checkout strip — payment and checkout reassurance strip.
  • Sale banner — promotional banner for sales and campaign messages.
  • Cart coupon banner — compact discount reminder for cart and checkout.
  • Stacked guarantees — vertical guarantee list with icons.
  • Upsell banner — image, copy, and a call-to-action for bundle or product upsells.
  • Single icon banner — large icon with a title and supporting text.
  • Single image — full-width image banner with an optional link.

Content items

A widget holds up to 24 content items. Each item supports:

  • Title and text
  • Icon — choose from a built-in library of over 3,000 SVG icons — or an uploaded image from the media library (for example payment logos or custom badges)
  • Link and call-to-action label
  • Coupon code (used by the coupon banner template)

Design settings

Design is configured per device — mobile, tablet, and desktop each have their own values, so a three-column desktop row can become a single column on phones. Available settings:

  • Background — solid color or gradient
  • Colors — title, text, icon, accent, and border colors
  • Typography — font family, title size, and text size
  • Icon — size (16–96 px) and position (top, left, or right of the text)
  • Layout — columns (1–6), alignment (left, center, right), item gap, and maximum width
  • Box — border width, corner radius, shadow (none, soft, medium), and vertical/horizontal padding and margin

Placements

There are three ways to display a widget.

1. Automatic WooCommerce placements

Select any number of placements in the widget editor and the widget renders there automatically:

  • Product: above the add to cart button
  • Product: below the add to cart button
  • Product: after the add to cart form
  • Product: after the product summary
  • Cart: above the checkout button
  • Cart: below the checkout button
  • Checkout: above the place order button
  • Checkout: below the place order button
  • Shop loop: below the product button in the product grid
  • Cart/Checkout Blocks: order summary slot (for the block-based cart and checkout)

If multiple widgets share a placement, the priority value controls their order (lower numbers render first).

2. Gutenberg block

Add the Trust Badges Widget block (found in the WooCommerce category of the block inserter) to any post, page, or block template, and pick the widget to display. The block renders dynamically, so later edits to the widget appear everywhere automatically.

3. Shortcode

Insert a widget anywhere shortcodes are supported:

  • [trust_badges id="123"] — display the widget with ID 123
  • [trust_badges slug="my-widget"] — display a widget by its slug
  • [trust_badges placement="product_below_add_to_cart"] — display all widgets assigned to a placement

Targeting rules

Each widget has optional visibility conditions. All configured conditions must match for the widget to display; leave a condition empty to ignore it.

  • Products, categories, tags — only show on the selected products or products in the selected categories/tags
  • Schedule — start and end dates for time-limited campaigns
  • Cart subtotal — minimum and/or maximum cart subtotal (for example, promote free shipping only under a threshold)
  • Countries — match the customer’s shipping or billing country
  • Languages — match the site locale, useful on multilingual stores
  • Device — all, mobile only, or desktop only

Targeting rules are enforced on automatic placements, the block, and the shortcode alike.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout Blocks?

Yes. The plugin integrates with the block-based cart and checkout through WooCommerce’s block extension slots, in addition to the classic templates. Exact button-adjacent positions depend on the extension slots WooCommerce makes available.

Why isn’t my widget showing?

  1. Check that the widget is enabled and has at least one placement selected (or is inserted via block/shortcode).
  2. Review the targeting rules — a schedule, country, language, device, or cart subtotal condition may be excluding your current session.
  3. If you use product/category/tag targeting, confirm you are viewing a matching product.
  4. Some themes replace WooCommerce template hooks; if an automatic placement doesn’t appear, try a nearby placement or insert the widget with the shortcode instead.

Is the plugin translation ready?

Yes. All admin and frontend strings are translatable, and widgets can be shown per-language using the language targeting rule.

Does it slow down my store?

Widgets are rendered server-side with lightweight markup, and assets are only loaded where a widget is displayed.

Support

If you run into a problem or have a feature request, please open a support ticket from the plugin’s page on the WooCommerce Marketplace. Include your WordPress, WooCommerce, and plugin versions plus a short description of the widget setup, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
