Overview

The Bulk Price Editor plugin for WooCommerce allows store owners to efficiently update product prices in bulk. It provides advanced filtering options, flexible price modification methods, and an intuitive interface to streamline price management.

Filters

Users can refine the list of products they want to update using multiple filters. Filters work together using an “AND” strategy, meaning only products matching all selected criteria will be included.

Included Products

Select specific products to be included in the price update.

Excluded Products

Exclude specific products from the update to prevent changes. This is useful when you want to select a whole category and exclude specific products from it.

Stock Status

Filter products based on their stock status:

  • In Stock
  • Out of Stock
  • On Backorder

Product Type

Apply changes only to specific product types (This list could be enhanced by integrations with 3rd-party plugins):

  • Simple
  • Variable
  • Grouped
  • External

Filter by SKU and Name

Find products based on SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) or Product name. This allows you to find products that contain a specific phrase in their SKU or Title.

Filter by Product Attributes

Filter products by attribute values. Useful for updating prices for certain variations in variable products. For example, in combination with the “Product Type” filter, you could find all variations that have specific attributes.

Templates

You can save filters as a template so you can easily access them anytime. This could be extremely useful for selecting products that have frequent price changes and using them as a template:

Price Modification Methods

The Bulk Price Editor plugin provides multiple ways to modify product prices. Users can select one of the following price adjustment methods and apply changes to the filtered products.

Enter New Prices

Allows users to set a new regular price and/or sale price for selected products.

If both fields are filled, both the regular and sale prices will be updated.

If only one field is filled, the other remains unchanged.

Example:

Set the regular price to $100 and the sale price to $80 for selected products.

Increase by Percent

Increases the regular and/or sale price by a specified percentage.

Users can enter different percentages for the regular and sale prices or apply the same value to both.

Example:

  • Enter 10% to increase the regular price by 10%.
  • Enter 50% to increase the sale price by 50%.
    • If a product’s regular price is $500, it will be updated to $550.
    • If its sale price is $400, it will be updated to $600.

Decrease by Percent

Works like “Increase by Percent” but decreases the price instead.

Users can specify different percentages for regular and sale prices.

Example:

  • Enter 10% to decrease the regular price by 10%.
  • Enter 20% to decrease the sale price by 20%.
    • If a product’s regular price is $500, it will be updated to $450.
    • If its sale price is $400, it will be updated to $320.

Add Flat Value

Adds a fixed value to the regular and/or sale price of selected products.

Example:

Enter $5 to increase the regular price and/or sale price by $5.

If a product’s regular price is $50, it will be updated to $55.

Subtract Flat Value

Works like “Add Flat Value” but subtracts the specified amount instead.

Example:

Enter $10 to decrease the regular price and/or sale price by $10.

If a product’s regular price is $50, it will be updated to $40.

Remove Prices

Completely removes the regular price and/or sale price for selected products. This is useful for making products unavailable for purchase until new prices are added.

Example:

If a product has a regular price of $100 and a sale price of $80, both will be removed, leaving the price fields empty.

Preview Changes

The Preview is an essential feature of the Bulk Price Editor plugin, allowing you to review price changes before applying them. This helps ensure accuracy and prevents unintended modifications.

Filters Applied

  • The preview table updates dynamically based on the applied filters.
  • Only products matching the selected criteria appear in the table.

Price Calculations

The Regular Price (After) and Sale Price (After) columns update in real-time based on the chosen price modification method.

Review & Confirmation

You can compare before and after prices for each product.

If everything looks correct, users click “Apply Changes” to proceed.

A confirmation popup appears, showing the total number of affected products.

Pagination

The preview table supports live pagination for large product lists.

Real-Time Updates

If users modify filters or pricing rules, the table updates automatically to reflect the changes.
