Smart Coupons provide a powerful, “all-in-one” solution for gift cards, store credits, discount coupons, and vouchers extending the core functionality of WooCommerce coupons.
This documentation explains how you can set a maximum discount limit for a percentage discount coupon.
Why limit a percentage discount coupon?
↑ Back to topYou might offer a 70% discount to attract more customers, but this could result in an overall loss. By setting a maximum discount limit, you control the maximum amount a customer can save.
Consider you are running a flat 70% off on your store but you limit the maximum discount to $50. If a customer purchases a product worth $100, they would typically expect a 70% discount, reducing the price to $30. However, with a maximum discount limit of $50, the customer will get the product for $50 instead of $30.
This approach ensures you can afford the discount while still providing a compelling offer to attract customers.
