1. Download the .zip file from your WooCommerce account.
2. Go to: WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New and Upload Plugin for the file you have downloaded.
3. Click Install Now and Activate.

After activation of the Custom Order Number extension, you can find the “Order Number” menu under WP Admin > WooCommerce. Click to view settings.

Customizing Order Number:

You can customize the order number as per your requirements by using text, word, characters, symbols or pre-define variables. As soon as you add the counter and random number variable in field, the respective options would appear which includes:

• Counter start number
• Counter steps
• Intervals resetting counter (you can choose to reset counter after every week, day, month or specific time)
• Reset counter now (choose to reset counter now when the settings are saved)
• Customize counter length (if its set to 3 and start number is one, it will begin with 001)

The extension comes with 11 pre-defined tags/variables that you can use to customize order numbers. Available tags along with the details are pictured below and can be accessed from plugin settings: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Order Number > Description of Tags.
