Overview

Store owners frequently wish to give special discounts to loyal customers after a certain number of orders are completed.

With Smart Coupons, you can set a coupon to apply automatically when the customer has placed more than X orders. This helps store owners create a smooth loyalty experience without requiring customers to enter coupon codes manually.

Business Scenario

A store owner wants to run a loyalty promotion:

  • Customers who have placed more than 5 orders will automatically receive a 10% discount on their next purchase.
  • Customers who have not yet reached 5 orders should not get the discount.
  • The coupon should apply automatically at the cart or checkout, based on the customer’s email.

This creates a seamless reward system that encourages customers to return and complete more purchases.

How it works with Smart Coupons

When the coupon is auto-applied in the cart or checkout:

  1. The customer enters or uses an email address.
  2. The system checks how many completed orders exist for that email.
  3. If the count is greater than the number specified, the coupon applies.
  4. If not, the coupon will not auto-apply.

If a customer has completed more than 5 orders:
