WooCommerce Recommendation Engine automatically recommends products to users based on view history, purchase history and products that are frequently purchased together.
It includes two widgets, and three automatic displays of recommendations on the single product page.
Installation
↑ Back to topTo start using a product from WooCommerce.com, you can use the “Add to store” functionality on the order confirmation page or the My subscriptions section in your account.
- Navigate to My subscriptions.
- Find the Add to store button next to the product you’re planning to install.
- Follow the instructions on the screen, and the product will be automatically added to your store.

Setup and Configuration

Settings
↑ Back to topTo select options for automatically displaying recommendations on the single product page, go to: WooCommerce > Settings > Recommendation.
Types of Recommendations to Show
- Choose to enable or disable the “Related Products by Purchase History” module
- Choose to enable or disable the “Related Products by Views” module
- Choose to enable or disable the “Products Frequently Purchased Together” module
- Choose to enable or disable the built in WooCommerce related products.
Titles / Labels
- Enter the label to display in the store for the “Related Products by Purchase History” module.
- Enter the label to display in the store for the “Related Products by Views” module.
- Enter the label to display in the store for the “Products Frequently Purchased Together” module.
Position of enabled recommendations
- Choose the order you would like to show the modules on the single product pages.
In the Recommendations tabs, there are some basic stats:
Viewed: Number of times the item is being printed as a recommendation
Also Purchased: Customers who purchased an item also purchased this item at some point. So if a customer buys a flashlight, and then later buys batteries, batteries and flashlights would be linked by this type of recommendation.
Purchased Together: Items ordered at the same time. Similar to Amazon’s Purchased Together feature.

WooCommerce Recommended Products
Allows you to show Related Products By View and Related Products by Purchase History.
- Go to Appearance > Widgets.
- Drag the widget to the sidebar where you want to display.
- Enter a title for the Widget.
- Select how many items to show.
- Select what type of recommendation to show — products viewed together, products purchased together, or both.
WooCommerce Purchased Products
Allows you to show the Products Purchased Together.
- Go to Appearance > Widgets.
- Drag the widget to the sidebar where you want to display.
- Enter a title for the Widget.
- Select how many items to show.
