Blocks

The WordPress block editor introduces a modular approach to pages, posts and other post types. Every item you add, whether it’s a paragraph, an image gallery, or a headline, is its own separate block.

The Eben theme comes with a full support for default WordPress blocks.

Site Editor

The Eben theme supports Site Editor feature, which allows you to control layout and elements of the page templates. Once you enter the Site Editor, there are several main areas that you can customize:

  • Navigation: Allows you to browse your menus and make basic changes.
  • Styles: Provides a direct access to edit your site’s style variations.
  • Pages: You can also edit the content of your pages inside the Site Editor itself.
  • Templates: Review the different default layouts for the different sections on your site, as well as custom pages.
  • Patterns: Your Synced patterns and template parts can be managed here.

To go back to WordPress dashboard, click the WordPress icon at the top corner of a web page.

Manual Pages Setup

Unlike posts, pages don’t follow a chronological order and aren’t typically part of a blog’s feed. Examples include Home, About, Blog (News), Contact pages, etc.

To add a new page to a website, follow these step:

  1. Go to WordPress dashboard.
  2. Select Pages on the left.
  3. Press the Add new page button.
  4. Pick a pre-made page layout within a modal window or close it to start blank.

  6. Click the + icon to add content, or edit existing blocks in content.

The Eben theme comes with several pre-made page layouts — pre-structured pages filled with placeholder content, ready for personalization with text or images.

These layouts use blocks in the Block editor, allowing modification of existing content or addition of more blocks.
