Usage

TD SYNNEX Shipping and Ordering for WooCommerce works in the background to send SO requests to Synnex. Once set up, you don’t need to take any further action to use the extension.

When a customer places an order for product(s) flagged to enable shipping requests, an automatic SO with the SKUs, shipping details provided by the customer, and your preferred carrier is submitted to Synnex.

Global and Single Product Overrides
If you ship more products from your local warehouse than you drop ship from TD SYNNEX, you may want to disable SO submission globally and select only specific products which you intend to send SO requests for. To do this, go to WooCommerce > Settings > TD SYNNEX and check “Disable All Shipping Orders via TD SYNNEX

This setting allows you to disable all SO submissions, and then enable them only for certain products you drop ship from TD SYNNEX.

To enable or disable SO submission on individual products, edit the product and click the TD SYNNEX Shipping tab in the Product data section, then select the override checkbox.

Troubleshooting

While the TD SYNNEX XML API is fast and response times are typically very short, if your request is particularly large some budget hosts may kill the process before it completes. To rectify this situation you may need to edit your php.ini file to increase the PHP max execution time to allow the process to complete. You can request assistance from your Web host to do so, or consider switching to another hosting service.

FAQs

Q: Can I use the extension without being a TD SYNNEX customer?

A: You must already be a TD SYNNEX customer with ECommerce access, as well as access to the XML API. If you do not already have access to the API, please contact your TD SYNNEX Sales Representative and request access for SO submission via the XML API.

Q: Once I’ve set a manual override on a product, is there a way to clear it?

A: Products that have a manual SO submission override set on their product page automatically change to their opposite setting if the global override is changed on the settings page. To clear a product’s manual override, simply set it to the same state as the global setting.

Q:  Will I receive a shipping estimate from TD SYNNEX?

A: At this time Synnex EC does not provide shipping estimates through the API. If this functionality is added in the future the extension may be updated to take advantage of that feature.

Q: Is TD SYNNEX Shipping and Ordering for WooCommerce sold or supported by TD SYNNEX?

A: No. Disruptive Inc. is a third party company. We have created and tested our TD SYNNEX extensions specifically for TD SYNNEX customers who use WooCommerce as their E-Commerce solution. We’re happy to be able to bring the functionality of the XML API to WooCommerce with a low-cost alternative to expensive custom development or SaaS services.
