Using membership linking feature, you can allow members of a membership plan to link their plan with other users on the site so that they will also get the privileges of the membership plan. The other users can only receive the privileges, but cannot manage the membership.
Create membership plans by following the steps in Creating Membership Plan
In “Membership Linking” tab,
Enable “Allow Membership Linking” to allow members to link their membership plan with other users.
By default, other users will be linked automatically when link request is submitted. If you want to manually approve/reject the link request, then in the “Approve Membership Linking” option, select “Manually by admin” so that it can be linked only after your approval.
In the “Maximum Linked Users Count” option, set maximum how many users a member can link to their membership plan.
To link their membership plan with another user, members need to go to their “My Account Page > Memberships” and in the specific membership plan row, they can see “Link Users” button.
When the button is clicked, they will be asked to enter the email address of the user for which they need to link their membership.
If the email address is valid for linking, then membership will be linked successfully with the user.
After linking, at any time if they need to unlink the users, then members need to go to their “My Account Page > Memberships” and in the specific membership plan row, they need to click “View” button. They can see the list of linked users where they can unlink the users.
For site admin to unlink users, go to the “Membership Suite > Members” and click “View member” button of the specific member and select the plan for which you need to unlink users. You can see the list of linked users and you will be able to remove the linked users there.
