You can restrict users from purchasing products on the site. Only users having the specific Membership Plan can purchase the restricted products.
Create Membership Plans by following the steps in Creating Membership Plan
In the “Product Restrictions” tab,
Click the “Add Rule” button to create a new rule for product restriction.
Give the title for the rule for your reference.
Select the product type(products/categories) you want to restrict in the “Product Type” option. Based on your selection, search and select the products/categories in the “Select Products” or “Select Categories” field. If the field is left empty, the restrictions will be applied for all the products/categories as per your selection.
In the “Restriction Type” option, select “Alternate content” if you want to show a different content for the users in addition to product purchase restriction(Note: You can customize the alternate content in Membership Suite > Settings > Messages > Alternate Content > Alternate Content for Product Restrictions) and select “Page” or “Popup” in “Show Alternate Content In” option to show the content in page/popup as per your requirement. Select “Not purchasable” to only restrict the user from purchasing the product without showing any additional information. Select “Redirection” if you want to redirect the users to a different page. Give the redirection URL in the “Redirection URL” field.
Using the “Hide Price”, “Hide Description” and “Hide Short Description” options you will be able to show or hide the product price, description and short description respectively.
By default, a user gets access to restricted content immediately after becoming a member. If you want to grant access only after some delay, then in the “Give Purchase Access” option, select “After specific duration of becoming member” and select the delay time in the “Give Purchase Access After” option. If you want to give access only after the trial period, then select “After trial”.

Once the Membership Plan is purchased, the user will receive access to the restricted content. The user is also eligible for a discount(if configured.
